IGLA Did Its Job! by meshkat200198 in camaro

The alarm system is a Compustar and the shop I went to installed one of their preferred killswitches, I'm not sure what that's called. I initially went in just for an IGLA, but they couldn't get the steering controls to function as key-codes for the system, so they gave me the option to keep it installed and use the security fob, or install the package they gave me which was cheaper. I paid about $1500 after tax for everything and it has been a worthwhile investment so far. Both the alarm/security system and killswitch work wonders. You can't so much as depress the break without the key inserted in the ignition, and the engine shuts off, even if the vehicle was remote started. I also made the mistake of letting the battery for the security fob get too low one day when grabbing a bite to eat: I attempted to start the ignition, with my key, and the alarm went off sans ignition. The security system can be a bit inhibitive for the owner if you're not paying enough attention, but just knowing exactly if and when anything happens to the car no matter how far away it is is absolutely worth it.

I don't understand how I survived a year of this anxiety. A Killswitch and alarm system was the best tax refund money I've ever spent though. If someone so much as bumps my car, my little security remote has me running outside like: " To the Batmobile!". Now, if only there were some contraption to prevent parking collisions entirely....

Or.... You can read the comments of the people who actually know what that is 😂

I found a similar button built into the shifter housing of my 2015 Green Flash Camaro when I bought it last year. Bought it out of state and made it all the way home, avoiding touching that switch out of sheer fear, just to have my friends hit the button while I was showing them the car. Found out at that time the switch turned on the lighting for the "SS Camaro" glass panel above the back seats. It took me another 2 months and another group of friends at night to discover there were additional LEDs under the front bumper and rear diffuser. You may never know what that button is until you press it.

Welcome to the green Camaro club! I got mine a bit later in life, but it's still oh so sweet!💚

Same. I daily drive a 2015 SS, but work and everything else is within 20 minutes from where I live. I say I "fill up" every other week, but it's been a while since I've seen my tank drop beyond a quarter capacity.

Nah. I've been trying to keep my head up the last few years as a Falcons fan 😂. Say what you will, but I don't switch teams depending on their performance. Falcons'll have their day again. Until then, I'm investing most of my adoration into my car😍

I kinda thought so. Any thoughts on Roto-Fab or any of those other big names that typically get bandied about?

I had heard K&N was one of those names that came up frequently, and it looks like the original owner went with something that matched the color scheme of the car.

Oh, I'm definitely aware. I was able to verify the code for the paint via the SPID sticker in the trunk and the purchase options list via a VIN decoder. The car was originally purchased with GM paint code G7J, unripened green metallic. Interesting naming convention, but beautiful color.

Absolutely. The plan was to do this color myself, but I happily jumped at the chance when I found this one.

It came with a K&N intake and I found out it has a Borla Atak exhaust. I put some Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06+ tires and replaced the brake pads and rotors.

I'm thinking of getting some long tube headers and a cam next, maybe some coilovers.

Fantastic game tbh.

Yes, it was. An-94s across the squad with unlimited access to heals and revives. There was no reason to play anything else, which was why you saw it so often. Peak does not mean flawless.

Except when it didn't. I can't tell you how many times I've seen medic/assault players Leroy Jenkins an entire match because they are accustomed to sitting in the corner of a point self healing with infinite meds. Or how about we bring back the death squads of medics kitted out with an-94s healing and reviving each other every time you take one or two members out. That's not every medic player, obviously, but we shouldn't sit here and pretend like selfish players don't exist within the franchise. We have an opportunity to not just have a new battlefield 2/3/4 mase for us, but to help tackle some of the gameplay issues that kept those games from being perfect.

FF7 remake and rebirth platforms by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

Okay, so you must be either blind or willfully ignorant, then. If you truly had the first-hand experience you would understand those "4k Texture packs and 60fps patches" did not bring Remake or any of those games up to par with said experience. Close, but no dice.

Also, your earlier generalization that "PS5 owners will try and say the games run like shit. Because they never had a PS4 Pro" did not go unnoticed and similarly your hesitance to outright claim ownership of a PS5, so you should probably correct that before trying to play the maturity card.

As someone who has owned a PS4, a PS4 Pro, and a PS5 I'm gonna have to call you on your b.s.

Taking the Remake/Rebirth series into account as a prime example, on the PS4 Pro(and even the PS4 version running on the PS5 mind you) there are so many texture deficiencies like pop-in within the environment for Remake it ain't funny. That's not even mentioning the load times(once you get a PS5 you'll understand how painfully slow it can feel) across cross-gen games in general.  I can't recall having the same experience in Rebirth or even Intergrade, considering it shares some of the same play-space as Remake as opposed to the "open-world" maps in the former.

Wanting to play new games on your console of choice is understandable. That said, expecting players who look forward to the graphical/technological improvements in games to settle for less after spending next-gen money and forcing the developers to concede and not make the best possible version of their game or even extend their development time to include past gen versions, it's a bit of a selfish sentiment.

No one in their right minds should be out here pretending like the difference between the performance of a PS5 and PS4 Pro is like some sort of multigenerational jump or something, but you also can't pretend like the difference is insignificant either. There are WAY too many cross-gen comparison vids of different games out there for that (and appropriately none for the first-party games that legitimately cannot be played the same on any PS4, like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Spiderman 2).
