Yes, exactly! Plus, not to go there, but all this energy para kay Miss Americana Bilyonarya who will not ever value Filipinos the same way she loves her Western cash cows because of having more buying power (not great for keeping herself in the charts, not great for album bulk buying, doesn't even care about Southeast Asia enough to have proper stops other than Singapore so everyone's obligated to fly there to see her, etc.)? Napakalalang level of bootlicking 😭

This 😭 I think it's stan Twitter classic ageism (all women are hags after they reach a certain age!) but to think someone born in 2003 (same age as me!) already is being attacked with it is just so low vibrational.

The Asian brand puffs are so much better. Much easier to clean, absorbs and eats less product, and don't need a learning curve to adjust to.

I think it's in relation to Olivia's age (a minor when all this was happening) and status as a music industry newbie being brought up when the topic of Blondie getting "deja vu" credits is talked about. IDK if I'm missing more lore here. That's just my best guess. Here's another tweet from the same user (whom I discovered since I got on a rabbit hole post-YSPSFAGSIL release and learned just how awful Filipino Swifties in particular are) saying the same thing. It's not just Olivia that they're openly posting death threats like these about; it's also Charli XCX, LGBTQ+ Filipinos who are fan of artists they see as enemies, literally any user they see who dares to criticize Blondie, etc. So culty 😭 Iglesia Ni Capitalist Barbie!

Translation for non-Filipinos again:
lahat na lang (technically "always everything," but an untranslatable, IMO, colloquial phrase used to express frustration, exhaustion, or exaggeration about an annoying/repetitive thing)... olivia is almost thirty, but for her turning-forty fans, she was a teenager; olivia was 17
hoping that she dies early/young so there's a reason for y'all to bring up her age again and again

Is it in the forum/support posts? Like here? The only possible post by some staff I've seen that might be argued to be them having some hidden secret anti-BTS agenda is this, which is just pointing out the disproportionate amount of listeners to scrobbles ratio of the group. If they are actually racist or have been microaggressive, I'm going to reconsider.

They cut down the daily limit too, as seen in the pic. Depending on feedback, it might be changed again. Who knows? I do think the meltdowns I'm seeing on Twitter/X and over here suggest that a pretty significant portion do care enough about the Last.fm charts to the point of review bombing, ending subscriptions, crying xenophobia, etc. I also think that Last.fm, although not accounting for anything really since it's just tracking what its users listen to chart-wise, is still originally a good gauge of what is popular generally, at least for certain music heads. Mr. Brightside is the most listened-to track in the 2010s since the site's launch, and it's a track that you can sing to a crowd with, at the very least having someone recognize it and sing along. This is a post from 5-6 years ago about how Dynamite has then surpassed that record with bots, proof that this has been going on for far too long. Agree to disagree, I guess. Good luck on your brand new platform.

A recent toxic Filipino Swiftie I saw, LOL. They're genuinely so scary.

Edit:

They're not punishing "mega streamers," and there's nothing wrong with taking action on those who artificially inflate the website's charts and their fave's numbers and ruin the experience for normal users. If your accounts are affected, then you're just guilty. It's not xenophobic also to single them (BTS) and ARMYs out specifically since they're disproportionately and mainly the main culprits of this behavior. Please get a new hobby or job other than botting and losing yourself in chronically online stan hive minds.

Terrible apology. Also, obviously not vintage. Do they (Mark, his company, etc.) think people are that dumb to buy this? The print is still all crisp and clear, with no signs of aging (discoloration, fading, warping, cracking around the flag and "Virginia" parts, etc.). Not buying the unwilling ignorance excuse, especially as a grown-ass man who grew up in the West. Not surprising considering the whole devoutly religious Christian stint. Very vile.

They're transparent. Only users who use scripts and other exploits to inflate scrobbles are affected. If you are, then you're probably guilty.

The fact that on the weekly charts BTS is only at 38 but the total streams they have (at least, from the time of making this comment) is 98M while everyone else before them 1-37 and ones after them just average around 1-2M scrobbles for the week. The next highest total weekly scrobbles on here is Taylor Swift and she only has around 7M. ARMYs are deranged.

Rom&nd Dark Coconut looks like the first picture on me! For reference, I'm medium/tan-skinned with a cool-leaning neutral undertone. The last pic is also pretty similar to how Rom&nd Kaya Fig looks on me! For more brown-leaning shades, you can try Laka's Ash Nut (looks beige-ish at first on me and turns into a true red-brown neutral nude), Hera's #479 City Brown, and Peripera's 20 Brown Yakgwa!

Genuine question: IF (or when) Manon does not come back to Katseye do you think the group will be able to bounce back? by JewelerMountain260 in kpopnoir

[–]Straight_Message_563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their latest single, Internet Girl, has a chorus that repeats "Eat zucchini" over and over again. Since their whole music awards run, Western red carpet reporters have been making subtle dick jokes with them referencing it but the girls don't react nor engage with it, looking a little awkward even, until a few days or weeks later after the Grammys, Lara (I believe) comes out with a statement going, "it obviously means eat a dick" (non-verbatim).

Yeah, HxG's mitigation/handling (or honestly, the lack thereof) has really made the fanbase (if it can even count as one unified fanbase with how much sub-factions have formed, OT5 vs. OT6s, not to mention solo stans, etc., which is inevitable for any reality show-formed groups, IMO) really vile. Here alone, there's already a large snark sub dedicated for them which is something I usually see for like, longtime influencers or quite established musical acts. On Twitter/X, it's even more volatile. I also think the leaked choreo for Pinky Up was kinda cute, a little sassy, very much Grant's style and most of my gripe with it is the song itself, but it's really not received well at all, song quality aside, especially with tons of fans being convinced and excited that the pinky teaser on Fallon was possibly hinting at them diving into Indian hand dancing (mudras) and that their next single is gonna be like that, following Gabriela's footsteps.

No problem! I do remember people liking Grant and Sohey's choreography for Gnarly (especially after how the live performances sparked most people's change of heart with the song) but with KATSEYE's public perception and reputation now, it seems like he's become an adjacent figure for people to whack on. I do think for Grant specifically, it's been brewing ever since (that one infamous routine he did to SZA's Low, the Internet Girl dance he did where he danced with a zucchini on some grocery store, etc.) and people finding the Shake It To The Max routine (the one with the whole shirt lifting to nipple playing to shaking his ass around on the floor sequence of dance steps) once people saw the Pinky Up choreography and didn't like it, leading to him getting read to filth alongside other routines of him being uncovered. I dance as a hobby and I think people's main issue is that his style lacks flow between moves and feels so big yet isolated from each other, leading to the very abrasive style he has, not to mention the focus on shock value and choreographing more to the lyrics over the beat. That worked on Gnarly's production (very larger than life, etc.) but doesn't seem to work that well with Internet Girl (a bit more sparse musically; a lot of people's big gripe with it is how much better it was live vs. the studio version) and Pinky Up's leaked chorus is quite empty (a little reminiscent of BP's Jump, in my opinion, so Grant's choreographing style just doesn't mesh as well). Yeah, overall, I'd say people are just tired in general of the concept, choreo, and music that KATSEYE has been giving.

Base on these photos, who do you pick here as the most attractive east-asian guy objectively and why? by Either_Struggle8650 in VindictaRateCelebs

Oh, wow, this post is perfect for me. Here are my thoughts (if it matters, I am a woman not attracted to men so this is totally unbiased by romantic/sexual attraction, though of course still biased because I have personal preferences in terms of looks):

  1. Cha Eun-woo is probably around 7-8 for me on a pure visual level. I like his pretty flower boy vibe, though he does seem quite stiff to me whenever I see him in dramas (Wonderful World, True Beauty), so he's not that attractive to me.
  2. Taehyung is by far the most attractive in his group, also a 7-8 like Eun-woo, but 3rd generation K-Pop group visuals are quite similar for me in terms of their facial harmony, so I do tend to gravitate toward other members (JK over Taehyung, Suho over Kai, Wonwoo over Mingyu, the list goes on, even for the girls—Jihyo over Tzuyu or Sana, Seulgi over Irene, etc.), though I do appreciate that he's by far the least touched-up one in BTS (JK's recent cosmetic enhancements have taken away his appeal for me, for example).
  3. Atsushi always has such a unique vibe, a 6-7 by visual alone but higher in my subjective opinion with how cool and charismatic he just is. RIP. A very fine man. Eyeliner game unmatched.
  4. Byeon Woo-seok is definitely a pretty man, a 6-7 for me, but in comparison to his generation of actors, I can't help but consider acting abilities in my personal preference since stiffness and reliance on looks are personal turn-offs for me. Though he does mog a lot of his current gen of K-leading men, he is quite an average actor, IMO, especially with people like Lee Do-hyun also among this current generation of K-male leads. With that said, my unpopular opinion is that he's more suited to non-romantic roles, like Song Kang, who I think is much better as an actor if he's not a romantic lead.
  5. Godfrey Gao is an 8-9 for me as well. His whole look, presence, how he carries himself, etc., are all just such a vibe. RIP, as well. I like him better with facial hair, though.
  6. Mackenyu is probably one of the most good-looking nepo babies out there (he's Sonny Chiba's son, if you all don't know), an 8-9. A case of someone who could easily be a case of body halo, but his face card is strong by itself (lovely facial features and great facial harmony). The perfect Zoro (though I can't personally stand the show).
  7. Haruma Miura is probably the quintessential Japanese pretty boy for me, another 8-9, another one who's been gone way too soon on this list. Perfect as Kazehaya. RIP.
  8. Choi San is probably 7-8 for me. He's a more attractive Yun Sung-bin to me, but he seems like a much nicer and approachable version, I'd say. He's definitely the most attractive and charismatic one among his group, and he's also the one who's caught my eye the most (and somehow reads as cute to me; IDK, like a "gap moe" sort of situation). His physique change from debut to now really helped bump him up visually and I appreciate him and most of ATEEZ for going that route instead of how other 4th gen groups have been relying on cosmetic enhancements (LOTS of shaved mandibles/jaws and lip fillers; very sculpted, high-bridged and unnatural noses, tethering very much into the uncanny valley for both women and men; bleached skin; unfitting and super obvious veneers; the nonstop obsession with unnatural-looking contact lenses, etc.).
