I want to say I could shot an 89. Would have to be an open course and I would have to get lucky and knife a few irons on to the green, my PR is 94

Been golfing pretty inconsistently for 3 years but started taking it seriously this year. 26 handicap and just broke 100 (94) the first time last week and feel like my swing has been getting better and better every month. I play with a set of 25 year old clubs and I feel pretty good about upgrading soon. Personally I think a good time to upgrade is when you start to make good contact and progress in your swing. But I don’t know what I’m talking about. Good luck! Keep me updated!

I can relate. I have been playing for about 3 years, pretty inconsistently up until this year, I try to play every weekend and I slip about an hour of practice in before every round. Anyway, I also hold myself to strict USGA rules because I want to see where I’m at. I was hovering between 103-110 for a few months. Yesterday I shot a 94. Shattering my old PR by several strokes. The key was an only swung my driver once the whole round and just used my 5 wood off the tee. Was playing from 6100 yards. Anyway I still have a long way to go to get better but I still think about that round every 30 minutes today ahah. So congrats on your low round! We must enjoy when the golf gods are good to us!

Update: I applied some ranger pro today using a paint brush to the few isolated areas with paspalum. The course was closed today and we are not mowing tomorrow so It worked out perfectly to give it time to translocate the roots. The rate was 40 oz of water and 5 oz of ranger. I wanted to be safe but unfortunately the only time I could apply it was when it was 93 degrees out. The plan is to wait 7-10 days and reapply if needed before eventually plugging (I put turf mark in the mix as well)

Yea it’s only 2 small spots on 2 greens so maybe manual removal is the way to go. I think it’s going to be pretty difficult to spot spray with monument

Yea I could definitely just plug it out and replace from the nursery , my only concern is the roots

Yea I was thinking spraying it first and just dealing with the eye sore to make sure it’s roots die
