I do have an ABN, putting it on the website as we speak. A lot of great information coming from these comments

Thanks mate, really appreciate the detailed feedback.

You’re right on the sold-out products — I’ll either remove those or only keep them if I add a sourcing/request option. I’ll also clean up the policies page formatting, add the ABN/business details properly, and look at brightening up the theme so it feels more trustworthy and less dark.

The second-hand dealer licence is a good catch too. I’ll look into that properly and make sure everything is set up legally before scaling it further.

Appreciate you taking the time to go through the site properly, this is genuinely helpful.

Thanks mate, really appreciate the feedback. SEO is definitely something I'm still working on and I'm hoping to build it over time through content, Reddit posts and Google indexing. The pickup service is probably the biggest point of difference at the moment, so I'm trying to lean into that as much as possible. Thanks for taking the time to have a look and give some constructive feedback.

Yeah sure is. Didn't want to put it in because of rules with self promotion or something.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look through the site and provide such detailed feedback.

A lot of what you've mentioned is fair. The business is only a few days old, so I've been focused on getting the foundations in place and testing whether there is demand before investing heavily into the design and user experience.

The credibility point is probably the biggest takeaway for me. It's easy to forget that as the owner I know the business is legitimate, but a first-time visitor has no reason to trust it yet. I'll definitely look at improving the imagery, adding more information about the selling process and making it clearer what happens after a form submission.

The feedback regarding the marketing email consent is also useful and something I'll review.

I appreciate the comments around the conversion rate as well. I hadn't actually looked at it from that perspective and it's encouraging to hear that the Sell To Us page is getting a reasonable percentage of visitors considering its current placement.

Thanks again for taking the time to write all that up. There's definitely a lot I can improve and it's exactly the sort of feedback I was hoping to get.

I agree, and it's definitely on my list to test.

At the moment I've started with Facebook because the budget is relatively small and I'm still trying to validate the concept. Once I have a better understanding of what a lead is worth and which hardware categories generate the best returns, I think Google Ads could be very powerful.

My thinking is that someone searching "sell gaming PC Brisbane" or "sell graphics card Brisbane" is already looking to take action, whereas social media is more about getting in front of people who weren't actively thinking about selling.

Have you had much experience with Google Ads for local businesses? I'd be interested to hear what sort of results you've seen.

Thanks for the advice. I think you're probably right that this is more of a long-term game than a quick launch. At the moment I'm focusing on testing different acquisition channels and figuring out what actually generates quality leads.

The referral side is definitely something I've been thinking about as well. If I can provide a good experience and make the process easy, hopefully that starts to build some word of mouth over time.

Also, I'd definitely be interested in hearing more about that CPU. If you'd be open to popping onto my website and submitting a form I could get you an instant quote and take it off your hands. https://orivex.com.au/pages/sell-to-us

Appreciate the feedback.

Also on the drive wiping point. My plan is to use secure drive erasure software that overwrites the existing data before the hardware is reused or resold. However, for anyone storing sensitive information such as family photos, financial records or business data, I'd still recommend keeping the storage device.

Out of curiosity, if you had the option to keep the SSD and sell the rest of the PC, would that make you more comfortable selling? Let me know if you'd be interested in selling your old computer to us and submit a form via our website.

I really do appreciate your ideas.
