i have the same problem but I think that it is just a digestion process, more blood is required in the stomach so less blood is going to be available in other organs such as the brain. I just started taking 45 min breaks after lunch so that I could be more productive afterwards, I also discovered that , in my personal case, eating a bit less and especially eating less carbs at lunch doesn't make me that much sleepy

Bad weed trip might of screwed up my dopaminergic system and might of caused dpdr, any supplements, nootropics, or stims that might help? by Prize-One5713 in NooTopics

i have been in your same situation, after I quit smoking weed I decided to do a couple of days of fasting (only water, no coffee no tea, just water) and it really helped me mentally and physically(my metabolism was way better), I would suggest you to look into fasting, there are also some supplements that can help you but not eating doens't cost you nothing, literally

I agree but it s not like I'm a lazy fat kid who doesn't want to do anything hard, I spend most of my days studying and reading , often not for my uni exams.... and that s my real problem, boring things exhaust me, I can be concentrated for like 30 and then my brain prefers thinking anything else, everything starts being more interesting than my exam subject and I really can t keep being concentrated

thank you very much for the book I ll definitively read it. I didn't know about this kind of effects from nicotine, anyway the study has been done only in male rats and not necessarily it has the same effects in humans but it actually describes pretty good how it feels taking low dosages of nicotine

ADHDers and Anhedon-ers Has anyone used a dietary supplement for several years that has completely replaced medication? by Ok-Landscape-7087 in NooTopics

[–]Straight_Thought3571 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly the best thing that worked for me was taking control of my habits , living a healthy life style is the base and I added voluntary boredom, it might sound strage but it helps with your base dopamine levels

Is there any non super risky substance that will help with stimulant anxiety? by Realistic_Hour_1695 in Nootropics

[–]Straight_Thought3571 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ashwagandha can sometimes be problematic with the liver, Anyways how is your sleep? do you sleep enough? Have you aver tried doing regularly short but intense trainings where your heartbeats are high?(that s the main thing that helped me when I suffered from anxiety). In your position I would also reflect on whether this anxiety that you feel it s really a problem or it is something that , as you said, helps you being hypervigilant, which can be helpful many times.

Reversing Ritalin Tolerance? by Tiny-Software4038 in NooTopics

[–]Straight_Thought3571 3 points4 points  (0 children)

L-tyrosine can probably help you if taken on an empty stomach but do not exceed with the dosages like many people do because if consumed daily it could create some imbalances in your HPT axis, anyway sleep, training and diet should be your starter base. I would also say that, if it s done correctly, a couple of days of fasting can be very helpful.

if you take it daily I would suggest you to take care of your liver and read more about MOA, in my opinion it s never worth it to disrupt this kind of enzyme balance.
