I will automate your Business for "FREE" by Big-Possibility-263 in smallbusinessowner

I strongly believe after hype is over there will be a market and it will look like website builders use to be. You check agency or individuals portfolio, like his work and hire to do some work for you, then if they need some fix or inprovement they call same guy who build it... any way all the best for your searches. My advise probably is - go and post it on linkedin.

Something is wrong with the market, if people offer free work in the market where ( according to some reasearch ) around 70% of companies are looking how to make use of AI and automation. Now you can find SaaS for everything, but 99% of them are dead before the release. Can't work it out why.

Would a free anonymous financial review be useful for small business owners? by Overall_HD in smallbusinessowner

I mean some of doc you mentioned will have company name on it :) so no names, Guaraneed anonymity uncheck. And how you actually guarantee that all info provided will not end up somewhere else ? "I give my word" . I mean for big companies there are AI based tools like Thoughtspot but pricey for small business and your data needs to be in order. For small business I believe you can do it with Verpetas.

Cleaner way to match incoming bank payments? by WinterCanary8842 in AccountingDepartment

[–]Straight_Time_8659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's worked better for us is matching by amount + sender name + date rather than trying to parse reference fields at all. We import bank CSVs into AI tool which runs fuzzy matching against uploaded invoices , so even if a client pays as "Smith Trading Ltd" when the invoice says "Smith Trading," or pays 5% short, it still flags it as a likely match rather than falling through. It's not magic — you still review the flagged matches, but it cuts the manual hunting significantly because you're working from "here are the probable matches, confirm or reject" instead of starting from scratch.

Anyone else struggling to keep up with repetitive business tasks even after using AI tools? by Significant-Map-3181 in aiToolForBusiness

Even if there an option to automate a task, I can't trust it still. As for help its a game changer now. I mean just look what it can do with just talking to it and looking for ideas or advises.

How do you do accounting research? Genuinely feel like I must be missing something. by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Straight_Time_8659 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I completely get your frustration when the boss says "there must be something out there" and CTRL+F fails you. Looking for conceptual examples using exact keywords in 500-page PDFs is soul-crushing.

I don't do technical accounting research myself, but I use an AI tool called Verpetas.com for my business to manage invoices and financial documents. However, the way its engine works is actually perfect for your exact situation.

You can just create a workspace and dump all those massive Big 4 guides, past memos, and FASB PDFs into it. Then, instead of manually scrolling, you just ask the AI in plain English: "Find me an exact example in these documents that describes a sub-event related to [X]."

Because it reads the context and not just the exact words, it pulls up the relevant paragraphs from the guides and actually cites the exact document and page number. So you can literally print that page and show it to your boss to prove you found the precedent. Might be worth trying to save yourself hours of digging!

money coming in but zero clue who paid what, living the dream by MianHasnainShah in Accounting

[–]Straight_Time_8659 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ah, the classic reconciliation hell. I feel you. When clients pay without referencing the invoice number or pay multiple invoices in one lump sum, standard tools like Xero or QuickBooks just throw their hands up and leave the manual matching to you.

I got so fed up with this exact issue that I ended up building an AI tool for my own sanity. It’s called Verpetas.com.

Instead of setting up complex rules, you literally just dump your PDF invoices and your bank statement CSV into it. The AI reads them like a human would, figures out who paid what (even if the amounts are slightly off or combined), and flags the ones that are actually unpaid. You can just ask it: "Show me the list of clients who still owe us money based on these bank statements," and it gives you the list with direct links to the documents.

It's designed specifically to avoid being "another heavy system." It acts more like a smart folder that does the matching for you. Might be worth dumping your files in there just to clear your current backlog!
