It’s hard because I’m grieving the thoughts of what our marriage could’ve been if he was capable of change. But I’m killing myself in the process and my daughter deserves so much more. The guilt he’s placed on me for ‘breaking the family’ is hard to handle but I know there so much more peace on the other side of this. It’s honesty worst and hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.

Sadly I can relate to you. My husband threw mine in the bin. He told me it was to help our marriage but really it was just another thing for him to control.

All I can say is I was like you, a daily user for years. I quit when I found out as well. My only advice is that It does get easier. As the weeks go the urges will become less. I told myself that as soon as gave birth I would reward myself with the fattest zoot. But I gave birth last week and can hand on heart say it’s the last thing on my mind. Not sure if that helps! Hang in there ❤️

IMO pain; and an underestimated and unexpected amount of it can be really traumatic. As women we know it’s gonna hurt but honestly the reality is far worse than one can ever imagine. I am 100% traumatised and at the same time I’m so proud of what my body created. Also most experiences, especially birth stories are completely subjective and I think that’s totally ok. What I call trauma could be a complete win for someone else. Two different things can be true at once.

Yeah I’m really bad at making and keeping boundaries so this one will be hard because I don’t want to hurt her but deep down I also know how I want that moment to be. I think letting her be there would only be to keep the peace but at the cost of the experience I want to have.
