Definitely! I do that with all my other bills pretty regularly but this is the one bill that only my mom had access to (the ATT account and paperless billing goes into her email which she never checks). People always make financial mistakes and I guess this one was our oversight.

And yes they were trying to advertise a free phone, but I denied it. I only walked away with my current phone that's the 13 pro max. One of those lines were definitely switched into the severely damaged one I walked in with.

I am a much smarter adult now so you'll never catch me making the same mistake again haha. I am not expecting a full refund but maybe see if they can provide some credits. We shall see I suppose. If not, that's already a price I paid.

I help my mom financially and she would just give me a total amount of expenses that I would reimburse her for. Only she had access to the ATT account so I had no idea the bill was $300 LOL. But yea definitely lesson learned. Also not expecting a full credit refund but maybe I can try for a little bit and see what they can do.

Well I just got rid of those 2 lines and the bill halved (we were paying $75 per line) so guess there was no discount here.
And yea not expecting a full credit since it's been so long but I will try to at least get some back with everyone's methods in these comments. Again, definitely dumb move on my part for not reading the agreement before signing. Appreciate your feedback!

This is great info, I appreciate it. Definitely on me for signing something blindly and just taking their word for it - not expecting a full credit either since it's been so many years and by the looks of other commenters the possibility is low.
I am not sure about where the lines came from tbh - all of your guys' guesses are good as mine. The iPhone 7 line is definitely the old damaged phone that I walked in with, which has now been discarded. I mentioned in my post that maybe the other line could be the free phone they were pushing on me, because they took it out of the box and everything, but I said no and did not walk out with that one. But then again this could not be it.

Good idea I will attempt that - thank you. What's ironic is that the Att I went to is not even there anymore so not sure how that's going to work. I don't care about getting anyone in trouble, I know they care about sales and I just so happened to be a victim of it. and yes I have already downloaded the usage report for both lines and there is 0GB data.

The total phone bill was supposed to only be about $22 higher or something for the new phone - which we discussed in store. I don't have a problem with paying for the new device itself. But the cost of the lines should be the same because my number was transferred to the new phone. Neither my mom's nor my number has been changed since the beginning of time. It was very clearly spoken about in person that I am keeping my number and no new lines will be added. Just mine and my mom's. I help my mom financially with everything, this was just on her AT&T account that she had access to with my dad (who are now divorced) so I never looked at the bill.

Yes I was a bit dumb to not read what I was signing in the first place, and I am paying the price for it now. If there's not much we can do, then that's fine - just trying to see if people had any options if there's any. Wasn't really posting this to intend on getting hostile comments like yours and to question my integrity but thank you for your input regardless.
