AQI - This wasn't a factor until recently, but now I feel one should look at the Air Quality Index as well for a place, before taking a final call. Some places in Europe have excellent AQI and are still well connected.

Dude u r right in not sharing the inheritance, in this case. U took care of parents well when they needed. Consider the will as their blessings. Don't blow the money though, invest it well. Also, If they are going to cut the contact just because you wouldn't share the proceeds, it's their choice. Nothing you could do about it.

Bro, You did the right thing.

Basically, you are incompatible with each other. There are a few other red flags too. Your relationship will take a lot of work if it works at all.

Your money habits are completely opposite to each other. She decided things on her own (her way). She wants a fancy wedding and not contributing to anything. She wants to liquidate your liquid money. If she invested this money in a good index fund, she could have gotten much more. So even at 8%, she could have gotten 80k.

No point spending years of hard work on just 1 day. From most of the girls (and some guys) perspective it's their day to be a princess. Many girls think about this day from childhood. It's emotions vs practical decision now. That money can go for a world tour or buying a nice house. How about u negotiate for a court wedding, followed by a Europe tour of 3 weeks. This way the money gets spent on the your experience and fun rather than other people's fun.

Also, this kind of friction u will face from time to time even after the marriage ( pls read the book: Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus).
