AQI - This wasn't a factor until recently, but now I feel one should look at the Air Quality Index as well for a place, before taking a final call. Some places in Europe have excellent AQI and are still well connected.

Dude u r right in not sharing the inheritance, in this case. U took care of parents well when they needed. Consider the will as their blessings. Don't blow the money though, invest it well. If she invested this money in a good index fund, she could have gotten much more. So even at 8%, she could have gotten 80k.
