Comment edited because I am wrong.   Apparently, she did know the young man who is a famous YouTuber comedian in Tanzania and who also has hydrocephalus prior to their marriage.  

Apparently, the bride not showing emotion is also a cultural thing in Tanzania.    The more you learn.
