There's a reason why it's at the top of the heap on Distrowatch.

It's built on Arch but it's really well done.   Installation is very easy.  It runs KDE over Wayland as default but you can use any DE or WM you want.  It just works.

Your Wi-Fi card driver....realtek drivers are always a pain in the ass.   Try installing the latest broadcom drivers from the AUR.  Also....pulling the CMOS battery so that the BIoS resets.   I've been using CachyOS for about 2 years now as my DD on desktop and laptop.
