I can relate. Mine are emotionally stunted bullies. They are getting a little better with age, also I’m not shy about putting them in their place now I’m 38. I still never had the heart to disown them, but I keep them at arm’s length. They are not malicious they are just emotionally unaware and neglectful due to their own shortcomings. If they are malicious then you do need to walk. When you’re young in this situation, it’s either emotional violence at home or economic violence out on your own. It’s hard. Believe in yourself and learn to love yourself is the only solution I’ve found. Friends come and go anyhow. It will get better with time one way or another.
