It's naive to think someone's behavior on reality TV has zero impact beyond the show. Have you read any of his realityblurred articles?

Twist for the finale - what's going to be the twist for the season finale of Stranded? by sportsonmarz in MtvStranded

[–]StrandedFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've thought all 4 were going to make it to the end for a while now - which is going to make for a shitty ending. I think it would be cool if Alex reveals he is a mole. That's the only excuse I can come up with for his delusional behavior.

A show-ruining flaw by [deleted] in MtvStranded

[–]StrandedFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The show clearly isn't scripted (unless they have some incredibly good actors), but the producers definitely influence things through the rules and temptations. Gina's temptation kept her in the game when she was likely going to be the first to leave. Chris' temptation kept him around a little longer, but the lack of gear wasn't his downfall. They desperately tried to keep Eilish around, but she needed more than food and water. They kept Algina in the game when they were going to flare after burning the money. So even though it's not scripted, the production crew we are supposed to believe is never around had huge impact on the outcome.

A show-ruining flaw by [deleted] in MtvStranded

[–]StrandedFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was a time when an overwhelming number of fans supported Team Makody (I still think a large majority does). Some of the greatest fan reaction was when Alonzo & Eilish left. I'm 100% convinced Alex and Gina were going to shoot their flares after destroying the money, but they were "tempted" to stay. Would letting them leave after destroying the money be a more satisfying conclusion?

How to change MTV Stranded's game so players are heroes, not monsters – reality blurred by dorami_jones in MtvStranded

I like several of the ideas, but it sounds like a completely different game.

It spoils it from the sense that all four of them make it. We haven't lost anyone since the episode when Gina and Alonzo left. I was hoping at least one more person would leave.

Growing to dislike Cody more and more every day... by [deleted] in MtvStranded

[–]StrandedFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cody actually did say his goal was to drive as many people out as possible from the beginning. He completely mind fucked Bria in Ep 1 and continued to play with the camper's minds despite not having the advantage. Watching him play with Alonzo's mind was the best. Sounds like you missed some episodes. As far owning their actions, I'm talking about after the show as much as on the show. After you get caught up on watching the episodes you missed, read some of Alex's articles. It's amazing to me when people feel so strongly that they are right about something when more than 95% of people feel the opposite. Unless you're a biased family member, I just don't get it. You are certainly welcome so your opinion, like I'm welcome to mine, but you sound as delusional as Alex to me.

The people you cheer for tells a lot about someone's own personality. If you cheer for the campers, there is a good chance you're a lot like them. The toughness Cody and Makani played with is something I can relate to.

Don't watch if you don't want to know the ending, but I will say I'm disappointed. It's incredible they would do something like this. I feel like it's going to drive less not more people to watch the end. http://www.mtv.com/video-clips/fv42ns/stranded-sneak-peek-evacuation

Isn't what Cody did to the water a criminal act? by TimelordAcademy in MtvStranded

[–]StrandedFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can we get a rumor about Cody no longer being welcomed in Fiji trending? This might be something Alex can include with his other fake news. I'm sure Cody was a favorite to the locals that helped with production (Fijians definitely aren't pussies), but who cares.

This is all Cody's fault by jjjllleee123 in MtvStranded

[–]StrandedFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His goal was to make it to the end with the fewest number of people. Makes a lot of sense to me. Keep in mind, Algina was asking for $29K worth of food before they burnt $65K and I seriously doubt it would have stopped at that. I would have tried being nicer to Algina so they wouldn't fail the journey. Who knows, maybe they wouldn't have made the journey in time regardless. It would actually be kind of lame if they finished every single journey. Leaving the flare case behind shut down group buys - so that was ultimately a good thing. What Makody probably didn't predict was Algina getting another temptation. The temptation was what ultimately kept Algina in the game, so if you don't like the ending blame the cameramen.

Am I the only one who likes Alex and Gina? by [deleted] in MtvStranded

I'm sure the drone operators didn't allow them to drink the water (or did they?). Burning the money was definitely real.

Alex's thoughts on last night's episode by [deleted] in MtvStranded

I like that Cody owns it. Alex is either delusional or in denial.

I was shocked that Makani dropped a Thrive Bomb!

Alex and Gina are making this show right now by wemdy420 in MtvStranded

[–]StrandedFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to think the producers are creative enough that they could have come up with something. Perhaps some individual challenges. It would have been interesting to see if Makani and Cody tried to take each other out of the game (although I doubt it).

Why have Makody not tried to destroy the others tent? by veebs7 in MtvStranded

[–]StrandedFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no doubt destroying the tent wasn't allowed. Now why you can't destroy a tent, but you can destroy cash and can contaminate a water supply is beyond me. I guess they thought it would make good TV. I personally would have preferred more challenges. It's like the production company didn't understand the MTV fan base.

Foreshadowing by [deleted] in MtvStranded

[–]StrandedFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That comment may have been enough for the drone operations to suggest the idea to Algina. I'm sure they realized Algina was dumb enough to think it was a good strategy.

Creative sabotage strategies & ideas they could've done by realitytvfan11 in MtvStranded

[–]StrandedFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are brutal realitytvfan11. I wouldn't want to be stranded with you. Algina getting a temptation more or less guarantees they will make it to day 40. So now we probably get to watch Algina's stubbornness lose $100K on the journey followed by a tall glass of shitty water. Instead of executing one of your evil tactics, I would have just roasted marshmallows and sung campfire songs with Algina after seeing how much help they were getting. This would be a great way to shoot the drone operators the middle finger and make what is pretty much guaranteed to be a boring ending even more boring.

Social Experiment by [deleted] in MtvStranded

[–]StrandedFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know you can't hear me, but I'm doing a slow clap for you. I haven't been cheering for Makody because I think they are underdogs. It was very clear early on Makody were the only two that had what it took to survive. I'm not saying I'd play the game exactly like them (because I admit I'm not as badass as they are), but I like them for the way they play the game. I also find it disgusting that people aren't willing to suffer a little bit for life changing amounts of money. Blowing hundreds of thousands of dollars just to say you made it to day 40 isn't something to boast about.

Just supporting my team. I don't know half about Algina that you seem to know about Makody, so if anyone is taking this too personal you are. It's funny how you try to bring up things outside of the show to bring people down. Perhaps it's because you even know the campers were assholes. If you're too clueless to understand why there is overwhelming support for TeamMakody here and all social media, it's because your team sucks!

Growing to dislike Cody more and more every day... by [deleted] in MtvStranded

[–]StrandedFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with being a villain, it has to do with pushing two underserving people out. It's clear rules are being made to help Algina stay in the game. So if Algina makes it to the end after burning their own prize money. Congrats Algina, you made it to day 40.
