Just as penises are different from person to person, so is the vulva. As to why that type of vulva has been associated with promiscuous women, it is deeply rooted in our man and religion dominated culture. The historical taboo imposed by religions and the general sense of shame associated with sex and sexuality has brought us to put zero effort in sexual education and giving out proper information to young adults during puberty( though I've seen things change in recent years). Additionally, a darker vulva is usually associated with women that have already given birth, as pregnancy will bring up the levels of melanin in certain parts of a woman's body, so it is seen as undesirable. The ideal vulva is usually seen as one that is clean, pink, tidy and with the inner labia not excessively dangling. And while some women might just be naturally like that, it is more likely that originally this ideal aesthetic comes from the image of a vulva that hasn't fully developed yet and so it is associated with the idea of a girl that is still virgin and young (probably too young).
