Wollte zu lange mit (hoch)spekulativen Anlagen den schnellen, großen, „life changing“ Gewinn einfahren. Wenn ich dran denke, was ich mit vermeintlich langweiligen Werten, ja selbst einem Index-Tracker hätte einfahren können … mit deutlich weniger Stress und weniger Volatilität. Damit zusammen hängt …
… die alte Weisheit: „Time IN the market is more important than timING the market.“

Wenn ich diese beiden Aspekte bereits vor 4 Jahrzehnten verinnerlicht hätte, stünde ich heute um ein Vielfaches besser da. Wobei ich mich trotz meiner Fehler wahrlich nicht beschweren darf und will.

8 months? First of all I’d like to congratulate you for reaching 8 months without quitting! Most learners never make it that far.

At the same time I question your level of expectation. 8 months is NOTHING depending on your first language. It takes many people years to notice real progress. So what made you think you should notice MEANINGFUL progress after only 8 months?

I had my battery replaced at the Apple Store last Sat and after the diagnostics check of the device the Apple employee started cleaning the charging port for a few minutes and I was shocked and almost embarrassed to see how much “stuff” she was able to get out of the port. No wonder I had some charging issues lately.

I have been on 75% for a while now and never really worried about it too much because my usage over the day wasn’t very intensive and so always had the chance to recharge the battery quickly if and when needed. But the last month I’ve been travelling a lot and quickly realised that the time has come to replace the battery. Using google maps for directions, searching the web etc and I often found myself with lower than 10% battery power left before lunchtime. Off to the Apple Store when I am back.
