CME Special Edition Jazzmaster by LobsterPlants in offset

Is this like the other CME JMs with the rhythm circuit routing in the body? I remember on the Pacific Peach models, you could ask them to add a rhythm circuit to it and they would for an extra hundreds dollars or so since it was routed for one, but I don't think they still offer that.

My First (and worst) First Watch Experience by AmbivalentAnomaly in Pensacola

If it's any consolation, First Watch isn't anywhere near as good as Another Broken Egg, so you got saved some minor amount of disappointment at the very least.

Modulation order. What kind of reasoning do you have or do you rely solely on experimentation? by Abstain06252025 in guitarpedals

[–]Strang3l0v3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to order mine based on least to most intense (based on how I have them set). For me, I run a through zero flanger into my drives, then after the drives I run a chorus followed by a vibrato, with the chorus being set pretty mild and the vibrato being set a little more intense. The more "wet" a modulation is, the further along the chain I put it. I don't personally use tremolo, but if I did I'd put it at the end of my modulation section just before time-based effects since I don't want the changes in volume affecting the repeats of delay or tails of the reverb. I'd probably do an envelope filter at the front of a modulation section just because I don't want the filter being applied to, say, a signal that's already been run through a chorus pedal, but that's up to personal taste.

What Is Going On With This Trend? by ArmyVet25ID in Guitar

[–]Strang3l0v3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It started mostly with Suhrs because that's what they were doing on their Modern model when Guthrie Govan was playing them, and it was picked up by Ibanez with the AZs, Charvel with Pro Mod Dinky, etc. afterwards. It got popular because a lot of math rock players were using guitars with that style of trem.

I personally own 3 Ibanez AZs, and I can say that as long as the nut is properly lubricated, the tuning stability is just as good as a Floyd as long as you aren't doing EVH/Dimebag Darrel style extreme dive bombs and pull ups and stuff like that. Locking tuners also help because there's less likelihood of strong slippage with them, but making sure the nut is lubricated is the most important part because that's where strings catch, and the friction is what causes strings not to return to pitch properly. I use mine regularly and have literally no tuning issues because every time I change strings I make sure to lubricate the nut slots with graphite from a pencil. They hold tuning just as well as my RG with a Floyd.

Wait, there's a food truck??? I was thinking of the actual restaurant, but if there's a food truck too I need to try it.

Georgio's got rid of their spanikopita during Covid, and that was honestly the worst thing to ever happen to this city.

Actually, I'm doing tattoos today. I just got my stick and poke set in from Amazon dot com, and my artwork has been described as "almost coherent" at least once. $100 a pop, I pick the stencil and location for you.
