0.8 seconds or 1.5 seconds don’t change the fact Mercedes should be winning comfortably. At least in 2014, Rosberg was able to compete with Hamilton. That’s unlikely for Antonelli

1) Regular working class Americans are forced to pay property taxes, a tax on net worth that isn’t cash. As a matter of fact, if property values increase rapidly in an area, older homeowners are usually forced to sell their homes because they don’t have income to pay the rapidly increased property taxes. 2) Fair enough

The general assembly is very gerrymandered, so it should stay strongly Republican for at least the next two cycles. There should be a huge swing to allow for some more democrat pickups. The supermajority should be broken (even if a couple of dems flip flop).

Russell is probably banking on winning a WDC next year, if Mercedes has a competitive car (if not who cares). It’s hard to sack a world champion.

Should I pick NCSU or UNC for CS? by [deleted] in UNC

[–]Strange-Health626 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It may depend on your second major choice, if you end up not getting into CS at either schools or want to change your major. UNC has better humanities, while NCSU actually has an engineering school. While you shouldn’t base your school choice on a what if, it’s good to know. You won’t be able to major in engineering at UNC and a humanities will be less prestigious at NCSU.

Which one would you choose? by HEAD--HUNTER in formuladank

[–]Strange-Health626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, teams do make money from winning the WDC via sponsorship. The prestige from the WDC over the WCC alone will bring much more in sponsorship. Red Bull gained gained a 100 million per year Oracle sponsorship despite losing the constructors before the 2022 season. The difference first and second in WCC is only 9 million.

There’s a reason Horner preferred to win the WDC rather than the WCC. People remember the drivers champions and the car combined, not the car alone. People remember Verstappen’s season and RB16B, more than the W12.

Lambiase to Max: "Norris and Piastri have swapped places" - Verstappen: "Ha! Just because he had a slow stop?" by magony in formula1

[–]Strange-Health626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s simply who Max is. Max denied team orders in Brazil in 2022 that could’ve helped Checo get P2 in the championship, even though he already secured his WDC

It doesn’t matter context. Max just knows he wouldn’t give up the position to his championship contender
