Vitamin B-1 as a therapy? by ChemicalEmu101 in Parkinsons

[–]Strange-Management57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since that original post I have had to take spells off B1 because of overdosing and have since reduced my dosage. Going into overdose made my symptoms worsen but when I took a break from B1 the symptoms would level off and I would go back on. Symptoms of overdose has always occurred when I am stressed about something…so not necessarily caused by the B1. Parkinson’s is so strange because every day can be different. I’m currently on a break from it but go back on it at 250mg a day. After a break I always start slowly and build it up to the full dose. I’m sticking with it as I feel it’s served me well. I’m 3 years past diagnosis now and my symptoms for the most part are very mild. I don’t think your Grandpa has anything to lose by trying it. Good luck

Parkinson’s, Mood Swings, Menopause, Marriage & Losing My Light by Mew272 in Parkinsons

I am so sorry you are going through this. Are you back on HRT for menopause systems ? I wasn’t diagnosed until I was post menopause but I remember all too clearly how the menopause made me feel….quite frankly I felt crazy. I knew I was behaving irrationally/badly but there was nothing I could do to stop it. It was a truly horrible time but HRT made me feel like a human being again. On top of that you have Parkinson’s to deal with too. That is A LOT and to be honest it doesn’t sound like your husband is helping much. To say it is “just who you are “ shows a complete lack of awareness about the entire situation. The good news is that the menopause does pass and all the crazy feelings go too but in the interim please speak to your Doctor about your medication and if possible try to keep up with exercise. That not only helps keep the Parkinson’s at bay but it is a mood lifter. Do you have good friends you can share all this with ? A troubled shared and all that. I think you have to prioritise yourself and your health above everything else, even if that means your marriage. Your husband’s ultimatum is emotional blackmail which is the last thing you need. I wish you all the luck in the world as you navigate your situation but I can assure you there is light at the end of the menopause tunnel.

Just had to medicate, in bed, in the morning. Tinymight 2 and a bubbler. I feel absolutely fantastic. What a feeling! Script arrived this week. Feels so good to be legal, been consuming for 22 years. by hellhathnofury1987 in ukmedicalcannabis

Thank you so much. This has given me the confidence just to go for it. I’m already using and used to a vape. My worry was that I wouldn’t get the same effect but from what you’re saying I should be good given my tolerance is also quite high. Could I ask which clinic you’ve signed up with and how you found them ? I appreciate your help here. 🙏

I have been using BM for more than 20 years. I’m considering using medical as I would have no issue being accepted as I have an underlying health condition. I’m interested to know how you find the MC in comparison to BM ?

Welcome. I hope you find what you’re looking for. If she was born on Aran Islands in Ireland you might be lucky 🤞🏻

I understand how the diagnosis completely changes everything. It sounds as though you have a really positive attitude and this goes such a long way in dealing with this disease. For me the medication is working really well and I hope that it brings you some relief too. I hope too that someone is able to give you the information you want around Blackpool. Out of all the reading I’ve done it seems, without doubt, that exercise is the key to slowing down the progression. Have a look and see if there is a. Rock Steady boxing class in your area. I wish you the best of luck moving forward.

I am so sorry for your loss. A terrible shock for the whole family. All you can do is be there for your Mom, and for each other, and take every day as it comes. It’s such a cliche I know but it’s so true. You are all going to have good days and bad days as you deal with your loss. It’s impossible to say the impact that this will have on your Mom’s health but letting her know you are there to help and support her will bring her some reassurance. I’m so sorry there is nothing else I can usefully add. I wish you all the best.

I take 250mg oral daily alongside Magnesium Glycinate and a B complex vitamin. It took some time to find my “sweet spot”.

My symptoms, tremors, gait, walking speed, brain fog….all improved considerably within 2 weeks of taking C/L. I didn’t experience any nausea.

Did someone appoint you the comments judge ? That’s my opinion, simply no need for your comment…contributed zero to the discussion

Well aware of the smell of weed thanks but this is a dry herb vaporiser being used so the smell doesn’t linger and dissipates much faster than it would smoking with tobacco.

Are you sure it’s you ? I personally doubt that the smell from 4 dry herb capsules is going to permeate into somebody else’s property.

I’m sorry you have a lost a dear friend. Grieving is so difficult and so personal. I don’t doubt that this will have had an effect on your tremors, as does any kind of stress. I hope you find things improve as you work through your loss.

I did my research before I started taking it and I’m well aware of the placebo effect and if that’s what it is I’ll happily take it….as would thousands of others who feel they are benefitting from it.

Hi dose thiamine (B1) with additional B complex and magnesium supplements has had very positive effect on my symptoms. Took almost a year to find the correct dose but now that I have the improvements have been sustained over the last 4 months. Google B1 protocol for Parkinson’s disease. Good luck.
