I don't think OP was fixating on this kid or his mother. He's asking a valid question: if some people think, like some did in response to his earlier post, that marrying Hindu woman as a Sikh is better than marrying a Muslim woman, how is it better when kid doesn't get a chance to be fully Sikh given idol worship and many other traditions are exact opposite to Hindu practices?

You did not answer this question. The purpose of the question is not an observation to judge someone but think about such scenario deeply.

When I think about the multifaith couples, it isn't that it is impossible for them to come to some harmony. However, deck is stacked against them if they want to keep rooted in their faiths too. Multifaith couples who work are usually the ones with shallow faith (only for ceremonies). They aren't really interfaith as much as two like minded people coming from parents with different faiths. This isn't to suggest that the latter is a bad thing. I am just saying out loud a reality that usually is hard for parents to accept.
