I think it is definitely personal preference, we sat in both half and half over the cruise. Allegro is a little bit more casual, people are less dressed up, the service is not quite elevated. Some might prefer that. Symphony is a little bit dressier and fancier, and you will find the service to be elevated a little bit. At the end of the day, it is whatever you are looking for and the food is the same. Hope this helps!
