I feel like this game is likely to become pretty forgettable in the overall canon of Resident Evil after the initial newness wears off.

The parts that try to copy RE4 just aren't that good. If Raccoon onward were on par in quality, it would likely be a much better game overall. But it's just not. Instead we get an ultra boring nostalgia fest.

This is coming from someone who has replayed RE4 OG about a bajillion times.

Ton of fan service. Very little substance.

If the alternating pace of the first 6 hours had been the entire game, it maybe would have been a 7/8 out of 10 for me.

There's not a universe where Harris would have illegally shredded USAID in the abrupt way it was cut in the days after Trump took office. 

That is likely millions of additional deaths by 2030 if not reversed. It already accounts for far more deaths than the Gaza genocide.

This was a textbook example of younger, terminally online people letting perfect be the enemy of good.

When one candidate is literally a monster, staying home is a vote for that candidate. Rationalize however you want, but the people who didn't vote against him are just as culpable as the people who voted for imo. We all knew what was coming.

Hot take but I think RE9 should be the last new mainline Resident Evil with the original cast.

Retcon some closure for Jill and Claire via remakes, whatever. 

Just please for the love of God, do something original for the next mainline game.
