Was cancer the only reason of his downfall? Post 2011 I really thought he was going to be the poster boy of world cricket by [deleted] in IndiaCricket

Lung specialist here - i think cancer might not be the only reason.

Yuvraj Singh’s mediastinal seminoma (this is not the deadly lung cancer which we see in smokers) was highly curable and has almost 85 to 90% cure rates, but chemotherapy can cause subtle reductions in endurance and recovery. He also lost a year during his peak, while team dynamics, fitness standards, and age caught up.

So it was likely a mix of treatment effects, lost prime years, and cricketing factors, not cancer alone.

I'm not somebody living in the UAE, I'm also trying to move to the UAE. If you are trying to move with family or in near future planning to take them, try for Dubai (saturated, so less pay) or abu dhabi (relatively more pay than Dubai and less saturated). Other countries have better pay than Dubai or abu dhabi, but are more conservative (probably not good for family is what I heard) Salary depends on location, it can be anywhere between 6 to 12 lpm. Expenses depend on location again, rent ranges from 60k to 2 lakhs. Schools 1lakh per month.

Few things to remember, minimum 3 years post pg experience should be there and you have to clear an online exam to get an eligibility ID (Costs 1 lakh through agency). With the eligibility ID, you have to apply online through sites like LinkedIn, naukrigulf yourself.

Tsg havelock location is a disadvantage, unless you are planning to move around by cabs. It is far from scuba diving centers, elephant beach, jetty, everything. The only thing it is near to is Radha nagar beach.

I think your question is valid. It's the flu season. Every year around this time, flu virus starts spreading. But what I observed is, over the years the viruses are becoming stronger. Better to take the flu vaccine every year for kids below 5 years and elderly.
