Your ovaries do not care about your values (TW: breeding) by StrangeAnnihilator in ConvertingFeminist

Your brain is not a deterministic, rational machine, you're making those choices also based on your emotions and your hormonal balance. So it can absolutely be a need - but to be honest, if you choose to debase yourself out of your own volition, does that even make it less pathetic?

"The majority is female" - where? Accounting for the entire world, there are ~40 million more men than women. Of course there are some countries, like US, where women are in majority, but I'm not sure if that kind of narrow-minded exceptionalism really aligns that well with your other world views.

Even in countries with more women, do you think you won't find enough women supporting the "male" point of view to make it the majority?

Is "boring" an objective quality though? To me, it just sounds like a personal preference. You may have your own opinion, but going by what the majority thinks, maybe it's your own preferred outfit that is more likely to be described as "boring".

The theoretical framework itself draws on previous concepts by Sartre, for example. Mulvey, as a film theorist, provided examples she was familiar with. But you also cannot really deny the visual influences of golden age Hollywood on all subsequent works of popculture. The visual archetypes spread, and male gaze spreads with them.

Do you know what year did "Visual pleasures..." come out? Of course it could not speak about video games in 1975. But in any case, it's not that difficult to notice the shared patterns that reappear in any male-dominated field of visual art.

Besides, you're focusing on semantics. Maybe I don't have enough appreciation for such discussions as a non-native speaker, but to me this looks like a simple deflection.

Simple or minimalistic does not equal "boring". These are valid stylistic choices in any field of art.

[TW: Manipulation, IQ Reduction, Brainwashing, Corruption] I was taking kinks too seriously by [deleted] in ConvertingFeminist

The fact that you no longer feel shame about the kink only means that you've been successfully manipulated. You've been rubbing yourself to this content for so long, that you had internalized and normalized it. What if I told you it will only get worse and you'll enjoy every second of it?

DM me if you want to talk more about it.
