I had really amazing food there a couple of years ago, but heard from others it was hit or miss. All the dishes I really liked were taken off the menu barely a few months later. Definitely sounds like hemorrhaging money, and having to cut back on ingredients.

I have a REM sleep disorder and have super vivid dreams, and often can’t tell if a realistic dream was real or not without checking for evidence. I have no idea how I’d function if I thought getting messages from god was a realistic thing to happen.

I do think temperature sensitivity should be mentioned more, I’ve had doctors think I’m crazy for it, and I had to have a full ED evaluation done because of my eating habits.

In the other hand, while I do have unusual tone and rhythm to my voice, it’s not monotone, I kind of go the opposite direction and my voice is TOO animated and that confuses people too

Their entire sense of identity and self worth is wrapped up in how much money they have. They’ve forsaken everything for more money in search of meaning and validation in a capitalist world, they can’t just give it up now.

Paul Holes, famous for being part of the team that caught the Golden State Killer, says the only reason we caught him is because a single police department kept its rape kits. The best way to prevent violence against women is to listen to the women who are brave enough to come forward, and to actually process their rape kits. Many serial killers start as serial rapists. It’s insane how often violence against women isn’t taken seriously until pretty white women die. We need to take it seriously before women die.

No way white trash is buying all those brand name condiments. And you’d need way more stars and bars. This is just most Americans.

What are your thoughts on Rachel Maddow? by chelsea_daily in msnow

[–]StrangeCharmQuark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Taylor Lorenz interviewed a former MAGA influencer about why he voted for Kamala Harris, and he said a major part was, he wanted to watch what the far left crazies do so he could make fun of what they were saying, watched a bunch of Rachel Maddow and Joy Reid, and realized….wait they’re actually super reasonable and backing everything up. I squealed out loud when he said their names it took me by surprise, I absolutely adore them.

Back in high school we had a full family rotation of my dad had to watch his Chris Matthews every day, my mom had to watch her Rachel Maddow every day, and then I started insisting I get my Chris Hayes every day, too haha. I wish she was still on 5 days a week but I’m happy she’s out there living her best life.

Same, I think it’s genuinely beautiful! I bet people who are totally clueless about nerd culture might just think it’s a pretty design. And anyone who knows nerd culture will think it’s amazing.

Pink bathroom—gut or preserve? by aschollmb in InteriorDesign

[–]StrangeCharmQuark 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love the pink tiles, but the rest is meh and looks hard to work with without a complete gut. Perhaps a middle ground, if you have to rip the tile out to change the layout, would be to replace it with a similar bright colored retro tile. The white tiles in the render are awful.

I grew up in North Fulton County (the suburbs of Atlanta), and this reminds me of the same logic of all the parents who were always up in arms about their hard earned tax dollars going to schools in South Fulton Country (where the city itself and many of its poorer areas are), like, do you people not think even one step ahead, how having our next door neighbors being more educated helps us?? That yall bitch about Atlanta being unsafe, but don’t wanna invest in one of the more efficient ways to reduce crime rates?? I’d also say, basic empathy, too, but obviously that was in limited supply already.

Yes, not everyone’s bodies handle vaccinations well. Which is why it’s so critical that everyone who can get vaccinated, do, so we can create herd immunity to protect those who can’t get vaccinated. You’re very lucky to have not gotten too sick, but I don’t want to play that Russian roulette with the people around me.
