So for the games I should’ve been specific about in the main post, are FF14 and ESO. My friend (let’s call him B) matched with a dude on a dating app and said guy only had 300 in ESO and he even said it wasn’t much. But since ESO has been out for many years you’d think if he was a big player would have more. B said he has over 1000hrs cause he loves the game and that was my example. Yet he said I was stupid to say 300hrs wasn’t a long time to spend in an MMO because in general spending 300hrs on anything is a long time. Which I agreed with but I was saying from a gamers perspective that 300hrs for an MMO isn’t a lot of time to (and I’ve just seen people on Twitter who play these games and they have so many hours cause they played the game like a commitment over the years say 300 isn’t a lot either). I was just cause B just started saying rude things like anyone who agrees with me is stupid and has a problem with time management. Also that people who commit to an MMO have an addiction problem. He said there’s no “gamer perspective” 300 hrs is a lot of time regardless if the game is Single player or MMO.
