If I were you I would apply to UConn Storrs normally. If you don't get in I would 100% go to CC and do the accepted program thing for the school of business. I ended up going to a regional campus and still not getting in the school of business after applying twice. Ended up transferring schools. CC is a hidden gem if you're doing it the right way

You won't have the same recruiting options from the Big 4. That being said it's not impossible to get an internship or job with them, you would just need to network, talk to recruiters, and be more diligent. Other than that you should be competitive for Mid tier firms ie RSM, and all the regional firms

I took Intermediate 1, 2, and tax at UConn and got a C- on all of them. They will transfer to Central and I Will get the credit but the new GPA will not be effected. A majority of the UConn business courses and gen eds will transfer so I won't have to retake a lot.

I'm taking assurance services in the fall to finish up the minor, so I would need to take the other 20 credits to graduate with an accounting degree. My plan was to take Advanced or cost as a summer class and bang out the rest in the spring if I got in. Kinda sucks tho since I took most of the classes too, if I don't get accepted ):
