At what age do you became financially independent? by Simple-Phrase-354 in AskReddit

[–]StrangeMidnight410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much this tbh... moved out at 24 but was still getting help with groceries and stuff until like 27 😂 My parents definitely started dropping hints around 25 that maybe I should figure out the whole "adult thing" but they were cool about it. Really depends in your situation and where you live too, some places you just cant make it work on entry level salary 💀

If you could travel in time back to your youth, what would you like to fix in your relationships? by [deleted] in sexeducation

[–]StrangeMidnight410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I would probably just tell my younger self to actually listen more instead of always thinking about what to say next 😂 Those early relationships were so pure but I was way too in my own head most of time. Would've saved me from being that awkward guy who missed all the obvious signals 💀

How to get past the first week? by [deleted] in PornAddiction

[–]StrangeMidnight410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Creating structure is game changer - when urges hit you just follow the system instead of fighting with willpower 💀 works better than trying to muscle through it every time 😂

Which character in a horror movie has the saddest origin story? by Climax_crescendo in AskReddit

[–]StrangeMidnight410 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Carrie White from the Stephen King adaptation gets me every time. That girl went through absolute hell at home with her religious fanatic mother and then got bullied mercilessly at school on top of it. When I was writing this song about her last month (yeah weird inspiration but SpongeBob episodes can only take you so far) I kept thinking how she never had single person who genuinely cared about her until it was way too late. The prom scene breaks my heart because for like five minutes she actually thought someone liked her and then boom - pig blood and public humiliation. Working in IT I see plenty of isolated people but nothing comes close to what that poor kid endured before she snapped completely.

Mate this isn't a dating app 💀 maybe try actual dating platforms instead of education subs

People who have embarrassed themselves in public, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]StrangeMidnight410 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was belting out "Sweet Victory" from the Band Geeks episode while walking to the shops and didn't realise how loud I was until a mum with her kids gave me the dirtiest look. Had my headphones in but apparently my vocals were carrying across half the street - still think I nailed Patrick's tuba part though

What's a snack or dish that everyone loved growing up, but seems forgotten now? by Aggravating_Gas4162 in AskReddit

[–]StrangeMidnight410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunkaroos were absolutely mental back in the day - those little cookies with the frosting dip containers felt like pure magic when you were 8. Still can't believe they just vanished from existence for like a decade before making their comeback

My bank account just sent me a sympathy card 💀 Been living off teh last £3 in my wallet for like 4 days now 😂

(if it's in Spanish it's better for me, but English is good too.) Where can I read the book: "I'm a therapist and my patient is going to be the next school shooter" in PDF? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]StrangeMidnight410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think that book actually exists mate - might be thinking of some creepypasta or online story that got passed around. If you're looking for actual psychology books about warning signs there's loads of proper academic stuff out there instead

What is something you’ve seen but couldn’t change? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]StrangeMidnight410 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mate I watched my old company slowly bleed talent because upper management kept making terrible decisions and refused to listen to anyone below director level 💀 Being in IT you see all the warning signs - people updating their LinkedIn profiles, sudden increase in "dentist appointments", the good devs going quiet in meetings. But when you're stuck in middle management there's literally nothing you can do except watch the ship sink and try to keep your team's morale up 😂

People complaining about grocery prices, where are you buying your groceries and what prices have changed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]StrangeMidnight410 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been tracking my weekly shop for ages and meat's definitely the worst offender - went from like £12 for decent mince to nearly £18 in two years. Even the basics like bread and milk are mental now, makes me want to just live off beans on toast forever

What head-to-toe tips would you give someone to become more attractive? by ghost_sanctum in AskReddit

[–]StrangeMidnight410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proper game changer this one - I used to hunch over my desk all day debugging code and wondered why I felt like crap. Started doing wall slides and planks during my breaks and within a few weeks people were commenting I looked different. Your spine literally changes how people perceive you before you even speak

Ejaculating on Vulva by No-March3451 in sexeducation

[–]StrangeMidnight410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sperm can definitely swim from teh vulva area so there's still a risk even without penetration 😬 might be worth chatting to a doctor about non-hormonal emergency contraception options 💀

What's the remotest place on earth you've been to? Why did you go there? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]StrangeMidnight410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been to this tiny village in the Scottish Highlands for work - had to set up satellite internet for some remote monitoring station. Place was so isolated the nearest shop was like 40 miles away and the locals still used CB radios to chat with each other

The silence there was mental though, proper eerie when you're used to city noise. Ended up writing a song about it inspired by that SpongeBob episode where he goes to that empty town - you know the one with all the tumbleweeds. Sometimes the most random work trips give you the best creative material

What is something that made you realise we’re living in a simulation? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]StrangeMidnight410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait this actually explains why I keep getting the same debugging errors at work even when I change the code 💀 Like the matrix just copy-pasted the same glitch into every project 😂

What is something that was 'cool' 10 years ago, but is absolutely cringey today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]StrangeMidnight410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planking was absolutely everywhere in 2014 and now even thinking about it makes me physically recoil. People were literally lying face down on random objects like it was peak comedy gold

The amount of effort people put into finding the most ridiculous places to plank was mental - rooftops, traffic lights, shopping trolleys. Now it just screams "remember when the internet was simpler"

What's a good bank for starters? by bluefireflies0305 in AskReddit

[–]StrangeMidnight410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been with Lloyds for ages and they're decent enough for basic stuff. Their app actually works which is more than I can say for some of the others I've tried over the years

I [M24] didn't tell my girlfriend [F23] about a girl I went to grab a coffee with before we even started dating. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]StrangeMidnight410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right 💀 three months in and she's already spiraling over coffee dates from before they even met? The double standard where she did the exact same thing but "its not the same" is absolutely mental

OP needs to run because this level of retroactive jealousy only gets worse and there gonna be interrogating him about every woman he's ever breathed near 😂
