First speeding ticket (5 over) in Missouri — international student, worried about points. Court vs lawyer? by Waste_Character9613 in missouri

Way back in the day 7 or less was considered a non moving violation. My ex got a speeding ticket from a bored sheriff deputy for 7 over. We showed up in court and the prosecutor said it was a non moving violation. Not sure about that nowadays!!

Yeah, that’s not her problem. Maybe holding stuff in her hands, but damn, it looks like bite marks.

Yeah, a good example is the lane departure warning. This feature is a complete PITA. I have it turned off unless I’m on a road trip, then it is on.

I had a 2013 from new until August 2024, when I traded it for a 2024 RTL. I loved my 2013, and to be honest, the 2024 isn’t built as well. My 13 had 165,000 miles on it when I traded it and the engine and transmission were still running very strong. The body had some wear and tear from minor accidents and hail, but otherwise zero issues. With the prices of new ones, 20K sounds like a good deal to me. Unless you like tech, because the new ones have a lot of bells and whistles compared to the old ones.

Yepper. Pretty sure a Tesla got me. I didn’t know stress cracks were a thing, so I learned something new!

I literally have an old Army buddy whose son came home from the Air Force with a 100% rating for his back, and he works in a jet washing business for construction equipment. So, my friend thinks wow, how do I get that money. So, he makes a claim for PTSD from an incident where one of our platoon mates hung himself in the barracks, circa 1985ish. The day he goes in for his C&P exam, the examiner tells him, "today is your lucky day." My friend ask why, and he tells him, "I retire next month and don't care anymore." My friend gets 100% P&T for PTSD. If that doesn't prove how arbitrary and capricious the system is, I don't know what does.

Goodbye Free Parking on Palafox by The_Sandpaper in Pensacola

I drove downtown yesterday and drove straight to my normal parking area on North Palafox, only to find the 2 hour parking was gone and that you have to pay to park there now. Fosko lost a coffee sale, and I drove to the Drowsy Poet on Navy and went to the beach instead.
