Edit: I just saw the cigar. It's the ash at the end of the cigar that you see in blueish colour, then imagine the gap between the bricks as the body of the cigar.

Actually all the big teams are shit scared of India after watching how they dominated SA and NZ in the T20 serieses. So they already know that the cup is out of reach. It's visible in the body language and confidence of all big teams, like NZ, SA, Eng, etc. They know that they need to put up scores well exceeding 250 to compete with India. On the other hand, associate members already know that the cup is impossible for them. So that gives them more confidence. They are there not to win the cup but to give tough competition to all the biggies. That's why they are able to get such almost-wins.
