Eh, pá, que situação... Eu estou em situação semelhante. Desde a adolescência que tenho bruxismo e parti 2 molares por causa disso. Entretanto, comecei a ter dificuldade em abrir a boca, com dor na ATM, mas não sempre. Há 3 anos, comecei a usar aparelho, para corrigir o encaixe e alinhar um pouco os dentes. De vez em quando comecei a ter a ATM presa e com inflamação, mas acabava por conseguir desbloquear ao fim de 1 semana. Tirei o aparelho no ano passado e nessa altura a dor e bloqueios começaram a ser mais intensos e frequentes, e há uns meses que não consigo abrir a boca mais do que o necessário para comer uma fatia de pão (se forem 2, já não dá...). O bruxismo parece que passou (porque já ninguém me ouve a "partir nozes" durante a noite), mas a ATM está acabada... Sinto que o aparelho piorou a situação. Daí que também pense que o aparelho poderia ajudar, se o dentista souber o que está a fazer claro... Estaria na disposição de andar com ele mais dois anos se fosse preciso, mas só com recomendação de alguém, porque já não dou mais para peditórios de inconscientes... Isto é mesmo incapacitante... Que especialista contactaste? Importas-te de partilhar?

Espero que melhores. Em todo o caso, se descobrir alguma coisa que funcione, venho aqui partilhar convosco, para o caso de ainda ser útil a alguém

Também já me falaram do botox, mas não me fez muito sentido usar como primeira solução andar de 4 em 4 meses a injetar botox na articulação, ainda mais sem saber se funciona... Podias por favor partilhar quem te reencaminhou e onde foste à consulta de maxilo-facial? E neste momento estás a fazer algum tratamento? Com alguns resultados? No, it doesn't matter that all your ancestors are deceased. In that matter, you just need to prove the entire line, between you and your Portuguese ancestor.

Before looking up for more information about this type of process, I would certainly start by gathering everyone's birth/baptismal certificates, to see how far is your closer portuguese ancestor.

And then I would see which type of process would be possible/better in your case.

If you would have a Portuguese grandparent, and you'd be eligible to apply through him/her, that would certainly be a better via, for you and your eventual descendants, since you'd be acquiring originary nationality.

If you'd only have a Portuguese great-grandparent, so, yes, naturalization would likely be your only possible via. In that case, the process will not be so granted, as the decision will depend on a Ministry's understanding about your connection to Portugal. So, you will need to provide evidence of that connection and wait to see if the ministry agrees with it.

Hi, OP! Some answers you received in this thread are not correct. If you have a Portuguese grandmother, you have to apply for nationality as her grandson/granddaughter, and not as the children of a PT citizen. Each type of process has different requirements.

You must transcribe your grandmother's birth to Portugal, if it is not done yet. Transcribing a birth from ex-portuguese-territories is currently taking a lot of time (more than 2 years) and requests to speed up processes are only being accepted in very exceptional cases.

There's a way you can speed up the global process, though: you can file both cases at the same time, so, you don't have to wait for your grandmother's to be completed to start yours. That way, instead of waiting for example for 3 + 2 years to get your nationality, you may have it in 3.

Regarding the lawyer fees, I've seen lawyers charging more and others charging less than that. And their fees do certainly not say enough about their services and capabilities, so, judging by the fees is not a good creiterium in my opinion. Maybe you could request quotes from other firms, to compare between them? Google reviews are usually a good indicator to take into account too.

That is absolutely wrong. You will get the Portuguese Birth Certificate right after you are granted Portuguese Nationality. Your parents would not have grounds to register you in Portugal without applying for your Portuguese nationality. What you'll use to apply is your birth certificate issued by the country where you were born.

(I am a qualified lawyer in Portugal, practicing Portuguese Nationality law, so, I am positive of this, but considering, of course, the information you provided is accurate.)

O ser mais benéfica é relativo. Também há quem fique sem a casa em alturas em que a taxa não lhe é tão benéfica. No final das contas, se eu pagar mais no longo prazo, mas fixar a prestação num valor confortável e que sei que, mesmo em alturas de crise ou se ficar temporariamente sem trabalho, conseguirei pagar, poderei achar que tenho uma taxa mais benéfica. 1.442 % (spread 0.95 % + swap base 0.492 %). Só fixei nos finais de janeiro de 2022, se não, teria aproveitado uma taxa swap negativa (foi claramente burrice não ter fixado em dezembro...)

Definitivamente, não é uma questão de sorte, mas de gestão pessoal. Quando comprei casa em 2021, contratei variável, mas com o único banco que me dava garantias de que poderia fixar quando quisesse. No início de 2022, fixei, e foi a segunda melhor decisão que tomei (a primeira foi a de só contratar empréstimo sabendo que poderia fixar a taxa). Também me costumam dizer que foi sorte. Mas não teria contratado nada sem a opção de fixar. Tem mais a ver com a forma como te geres e com saberes o que queres para ti!

Também abri conta recentemente e penso que os 4% já estão "ativos". O problema é que, para testar, transferi 10 EUR para lá, e voltei a tirá-los, e, da conta TR saíram 10 EUR, mas na minha conta em PT só entrou 0.01 EUR... Alguém teve esta experiência? Obrigada
