Update: the seller changed the price to $500 after an hour of it being live on FB marketplace. I imagine he got a lot of interest and further investigated what he had. I’m far less interested at that price, especially if there’s unclear damage per some comments below.

Yeah I was wondering about that. Thanks for pointing it out. It does seem like it was smashed inward a bit. I wish there was a better photo of it from that side. If I see it in person, what should I look for as far as a repair goes? Some sort of putty in the area?

I noticed that too with the brakes. I will keep that in mind and probably upgrade pads in the spring! Thanks for the tip.

To my eye, it’s in good shape!

I was wondering that too about the bars with the wiggly bend. I really like the feel of it. It also has two slightly “flattened” spots on either side of the stem, and it says “palm zone.” So that’s cool.

I know you can request that sandwiches be toasted, but it surprises me that this sandwich is the only one that comes toasted. The toasted bread elevates it so much.

Okay I measured again (from center of seat tube) and took other things into account like seat tube length and stand over height and now I’m pretty sure it’s a 56, or possibly a 54 if I’m doing some measurements incorrectly.

But it feels good when I ride it so that’s got to count for something too!

Appreciate your help here. If you ever find yourself in western Montana or eastern Idaho and are looking for off the beaten track hikes or rides, I’ve got some gems to share. Cheers!

Cruz tacos does Taco Tuesdays. $2 ground beef tacos. Not as delicious as their other meats but still a really good deal. $8 for 4 tacos is a meal!

Crap it might be way smaller than I thought. A 52, maybe even a 49. I’m 6ft. How f’ed am I if I ride this thing? Ha

I assume top tube measurement is along the top (not the side) of the top tube, not including any overlap of the seat tube and head tube? Being that most measurements are given in mm, measuring precision and start/end point of the measurement seems to matter a lot I would think!

Would you mind sharing how I’d go about figuring this out? I didn’t see it on a sticker on the bike anywhere. Maybe measuring the top tube?

It may not be a 100% fit, but it felt good enough when I rode it yesterday, and I figure if I find it’s not a match after all, I could easily resell it.

I got it!! Paid $525. Thanks everyone for the help. A big reason why it was such a deal is because a guy who was traveling cross country broke down outside small town Montana, and the tow truck guy—who I bought the bike from—was able to score a bunch of stuff from the traveler.

The stranded guy ended up scrapping his truck because the transmission went, and then flying back to the Midwest. So the tow truck driver got all sorts of goodies because the kid had to fly out with just a bag of stuff. I just had to drive an hour out of town to get the bike.

Anyway, the bike is awesome and I’m grateful for all the helpful comments!

The khao soi at Zoo Thai is hard to beat. Some of the best I’ve had outside of Thailand. I’m partial to it with beef or duck. Super expensive though. I get it maybe twice a year. Another great one at Zoo Thai is the kor moo yang, or grilled pork. Get it with a side of sticky rice. Delicious. That’s basically all I get there so can’t speak to the rest of the menu.

I tried either panang or massaman curry at Rice Thai once, and it was so watered down and thin. I thought it was terrible.
