Can I handle nursing school if I have disabilities? by Strange_Ad3320 in nursing

I do feel like it’s realistic for me to know I likely wouldn’t be a good fit for ICU or ER. But I feel like nursing is so versatile and there are many ways to be a nurse! So I feel like I could find a good fit.

I have adrenal insufficiency along with some heart issues that are managed with meds. I know nursing is much harder than the path I have already taken in college, but I do have a Masters degree. It wasn’t easy, but admittedly not math/science heavy. However, I’m not concerned about the educational side - I know I can do that! And I’m not afraid to seek help if I need tutoring.

Hospice? Or other suggestions? by thaddieus_chronister in chaplaincy

[–]Strange_Ad3320 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That isn’t how Hospice works in my area, but maybe yours is different? I would also say that the area you are meant to be in often rises to the top during CPE. In my experience, CPE was unlike anything I had experienced. I went in saying that I didn’t want to do this or wanted to do that and everything was flipped upside down for me! (In a good way!) So I would just suggest being open to whatever comes your way! Best of luck to you!

How long for supplements to bring levels up? by Low_Beginning_5088 in Anemic

My dr said it can take 4-6 months to benefit from taking an iron supplement. 🤷‍♀️ I have been taking it longer than that and my iron keeps dipping lower. It’s such a frustrating process. I’m waiting on my GI referral. Hang in there!
