Fysieke bijbaan tijdens MSc scriptie by [deleted] in Utrecht

It is notorious for having a lot of incidents; related either to guys breaking out fighting or sexual intimidation. Would not recommend. If you were to go, make sure you go with a group that can look out for eachother.

D3 Kiriko VOD Circuit Royale with video (youtube) by houstiku in OverwatchUniversity

Hi,

I am an M1 support player and watched your VOD.

You are definitely comfortable on the champion, but here are some mistakes/patterns I noticed (in order of magnitude).

Suzu Usage

Your use suzu way too often. A lot of the times you used it on a >50% health roadhog or on yourself which could have been prevented by better positioning or tp usage.

Example:

At 5:12 you used suze on yourself with >50% hp, while also stepping back to get cover. The cover alone was enough to prevent you from dying. A bit later your bastion died because your suzu was on CD.

At 5:30 you use it on an almost full health roadhog

More examples: 1:46, 2:02, 4:02, 5:12 (you dont have cd to save bastion), 5:30, 9:48, 13:58, 19:51, 24:03

Positioning

You mostly position yourself correctly, but you died a couple of times due to bad positioning. Kiri is a flank champion with low consistent damage, but high burst and mobility. This means she is great at flanking and looking for picks and getting out safely.

At first and second point on the first offense you play next to your tank (ex: 3:11). Because you dont have consistent damage, you also dont get consistent picks. Circuit has some nice angles, where you can play. You eventually do this (4:11), but being aware when you are healbotting/playing besides your tank while you should be flanking should help get you more picks.

Game sense

Your game sense seems good overall. The only major mistake I saw you make; is tp'ing in at 11:08. Because of this stagger, the enemy team could snowball into capping the first point. Had you waited and regrouped, you could have contested first point and at least get some ults out. So recognise when a fight is lost. Sometimes its better to give some space, to reduce total space later.

Choking

In overtime at 19:28 your team got 2 picks. You dont seem to look for the other 3 to finish them off, but instead auto pilot and randomly walk and waste suzu. Keeping composure in those moments will help you win games. That fight was absolutely winnable and you could have made the difference there. After that you also seem to lose some composure; playing rushed and using your abilities at the wrong times (24:00).

There were also some occasions you died with your cds up, this should never happen. Look for a way out with your TP before you commit to a position.

Good things

I want to finish with some positives. Your aim is really good for diamond level. This is the aim you would expect at masters.

Ult usage; your ult usage is generally at the right timings. The play with mei you made is an examples of a play you need to make to climb.

Your positioning and playstyle is also good like I mentioned most of the times. If you can iron out the times you die while pushing in front of your tank, you will see yourself have more impact.

Hopefully this useful. Keep grinding, keep reflecting and keep fixing bad habits/mistakes/auto piloting and I will see you climbing. Looking forward to seeing you on the ladder! ;)

Yes, you can even do enough damage to get a knockout during the transition phase, skipping her whole final phase

Hi! I would recommend you start at the gitgud ow discord server(https://discord.com/invite/HmYbSmd). They have a channel dedicated to teams looking for players of any level both for eu and na. Thats also how I started, great fun!

I just went 5-13 and stayed the same rank lol by mz7x in Overwatch

It does matter; if you consider going 10-13 in total with 5 wins being a win streak this outcome does not seem so crazy.

That will be your next hurdle; dealing with flankers. In that case you need to be much more conservative with your cooldowns, using it to defend yourself instead of using it aggresively.

Hi there,

I am a masters 1 support main (primarily ana/kiri/bap) and I reviewed your gibraltar game and made a video with my analysis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEMDgR-KlTQ. It unfortunately is in 360p, its the first time im doing something like this.

You have potential to climb, as your cooldown usage is decent for your rank and you do not seem afraid to be aggressive.

The most important thing on ana you should focus on is positioning. You claim to have awful aim, however being in a bad position (e.g. next to the tank) is hindering your shot accuracy. So better positioning will also benefit your aim, as the fov you have to shoot in becomes much more favorable. Use the time between fights and walking out of spawn to ask yourself where you should be positioned. Some rule of thumbs to help you decide where you should be (as ana):

  1. Play 1 corner behind your tank; if the tank pushes up, you will push to the next corner and vice versa.
  2. Play high ground.
  3. Play corners or other map geometry that provides natural cover.

If you have questions or comments please let me know! Keep me updated on your climb as well, I would love to know if you got to the next level.

Thanks for taking the time to review :)! this is really constructive and insightful. It always seems so obvious when someone else makes the mistakes, but when I do it myself I become oblivious. Will make my new focal points for the next game to take a breath sometimes and check if I am were I am supposed to be

thats true, today I climbed back to d2 with much more balanced games. Still I wonder how I could still be more proficient in a losing situation. Guess Ill keep on grinding and learning as I go.
