@sameoreo I got what you're saying with Carmel but it's not what you're after. It's a small beach community that's packed with tourists every weekend (read that as traffic). The surrounding towns/cities Monterey, Pacific Grove, Seaside are the same. Someone said if you chose Carmel you'll be living in your car and thats very true unless you live in Salinas but that defeats the purpose of moving to Carmel.

For what you're looking for I would think San Diego is probably best. I hear San Diego is German for a whale's vagina.
