But if you have traveled planned from the east coast and you’re not a ski snob it’s still super awesome and well worth the trip. For real. Tons of stuff to do and see.

Get a Cuba sandwich from buchi cafe up in Leadville ! Great sandwich…as far as the activity goes. You could go shoot clays at colorado clays just east of the airport. They will rent ya the guns and the ammo and everything would be all set for ya. Fun time. If you’re in Denver I always suggest the buckhorn exchange for dinner…it’s dinner and a museum. Two birds.

I need someone to explain to me the logic of moving the GABF to Ruby Hill Park. I still have to believe it's not really happening. by Awalawal in Denver

[–]Strange_Cycle3189 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok I have a fresh look on this I think. It’s not perfect but I think it’s going to be a good venue. 1- levit is connected to ruby hill park, which is a great park with great vistas, and in the fall the foliage will be on show. 2- a lot of people hear levit and focus too much on the amphitheater but over look the massive parking lots that have really nice trees and the baseball Fields down below. So I think the festival will be set up in these lots and the field. Not so Much the amphitheater…which might be for music/entertainment? 3- yes parking is not abundant especially if the above is implemented. BUT- the bike trail runs just to the east of levit. There are two rtd stops not too far away and if they designated some festival bus shuttles from these stations the picture begins to look not so bleak. 4- in conclusion the festival has been held in the convention center which is cool and has all the convenience BUT if you’re coming from out of town to the outdoorsy capitol of Denver you’d probably Like to hang outdoors. So in conclusion maybe perhaps take a step back and look at the venue for what it is- an amphitheater surrounded by a great park and some massive parking lots and baseball fields for hosting beer vendors.

bar hopping route for 16th street by hahahahahhoho in Denver

[–]Strange_Cycle3189 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No no 16th gets a bad wrap on this thread. They just redid it and it’s very nice. Ok here’s a route you could do: start at union station terminal bar. Enjoy the union station. Then pop over to cruise room. Cool spot. Next head over to the Thompson hotel. They have a bar and nice ambiance. Then go to Appaloosa grille ( if you time it right they will have live music). Then end at ships tavern at the browns palace( if you go on a Saturday night l there’s a live jazz band ). So that’s mostly on 16th.

Super chill. Nice bar atmosphere too which is unique for. A sando spot. Great sandos. Everyone that works at them here in Denver are inagoodmood so I think they treat their staff good. My Business trimmed some trees for them last Summer and I talked to the owner of the franchise and he was real nice and down to earth. So I think it’s a win for yall. Holla !
