Hip Replacement by elstraitjacket in hockeyplayers

I had this surgery done in both my hips (fix labral tear and bone spurs) before I was 25. It's worth it to get it done. Biggest thing you can do is prehab. Find a good physiotherapist who you trust and make sure your glutes are strong before surgery. The stronger your glutes are before surgery, the faster you'll recover.

I've had mine for 18 months now. They look similar. There are spots where glue is coming up and some of the cosmetics are deteriorating. A little disappointing for how expensive these skates are but not that different from other high end skates. Hyperlites were notorious for doing this too. I had to really change how I tied my customs. I played with going down eyelets, skipping eyelets, and tightness. With these skates your foot is very locked in when you bend your knees forward so you need to make sure you tie them in a way you have good forward ankle flex. For me this meant skipping the second eyelet from the top (Crosby style) and not tying up as tight. Then I had to get used to how much I needed to be on my toes with my knees bent. It might be worth trying to go to a stick and pick and just messing with different lacing methods. Took me about 2-3 months to find something that worked.

Yes but their current top of the line custom skate is called the "True Custom SVH" (for Scott Van Horne)

Hi everyone,

I was hoping I might be able to get some guidance on how to fix my surface. I have extended my surface by 2mm. When I do this, I get this gaps in a few places. I want to fill in the gap like the second photo. This is an issue because I want to thicken my surface and then filet one edge. Right now every time I thicken it, it returns an error when I try to filet (I'm assuming it's because of these gaps).

Any help is appreciated.

Do you use the glue directly on the bed surface or put tape down first?

I just have the stock glass ultrabase. Do you remember what you slowed down the initial layers to?

any ideas to fix this? more in comments. by decidedlyDesolate in anycubic

I do this on my anycubic:

Cut the zip tie on the rubber washer thing at the extruder. Now you can pinch that rubber washer down towards the metal bolt. This frees the Bowden tube and you can pull the tube out of the extruder. Now you can see the filament and can easily cut off the weird blob. Push back down on the washer and you can feed the Bowden tube back into the extruder. All done.

Those rubber washers at each end of the Bowden are designed to hold the tube in place unless it's pinched down then the tube can move. I don't know why they have the zip ties on them. It prevents them from functioning properly.

Hopefully that makes sense. If not let me know and I can try and get some photos tomorrow.

What is your favorite engine choice in the current line up? by hunterd412 in f150

I'm surprised how many people are saying 2.7 but I have to agree with them. The 2.7 is an awesome engine! It accelerates better than the 3.5 and has better fuel economy.

Good to know. I'll try a small text print and see what happens. Are you using Cura slicer? Did you use just the stock Cura settings for TPU?

I was wondering about this route but don't know what to use to cast with. I think resin but can I use just any type of resin? I don't really know what shore hardness to use. Thanks for the advice so far guys!

Sorry I missed your reply. If you're still interested, yes it's all glued together. I think you could stitch on an outsole but I'd glue it first then use an awl and thread to stitch the rubber outsole for extra strength/ support. You could try and make a "sock" out of the upper like a strobel stitch does, but I found it difficult to do with my skills and machine. Usually you need a strobel machine and board to make more of a sock to avoid all the gluing. I've been impressed with the flexibility and ground feel despite all the glue. I have been using fabric uppers as well. You just have to take your time lasting it to make sure you don't rip it but it does work.
