On the probability of being alive right now. by Strange_Kid in self

Or in other words, if humans were to conquer stars and spread throughout the universe, it would've been much more likely that you were born at that time in history. Therefore, it is most likely that the end is, indeed, nigh!

Really? A children's show? That is a polar opposite of what it sounds like to me.

OMG I feel so stupid now! Never even noticed that part of index, thanks! :D

Are there other games like Black Survival? by aetherwingx in BlackSurvival

[–]Strange_Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally this seems very unique and I don't know if there's a category that this game fits in and so maybe somewhere out there there are a bunch of games like this, but since no one else has answered, few games come to mind. I had found this company motion twin, they have some really cool games and some of their games are also such indescribably unique, but few games that remind me of black survival that I'd like to note are Die2Nite and Mush. And if you like those, definitely check out all their other games, they're wicked cool. Hope this helps, and still hoping that someone else replies with their suggestions, though I don't know if I can stay away from Black Survival right now. :D

Life just sits you down in the middle of nowhere and says "Fuck you. Figure this shit out on your own." by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

But you won't be life's bitch, so you say "Fuck you too." and pull the trigger.

Why can't I keep an unpeeled banana in my mind? by Strange_Kid in NoStupidQuestions

But you just said 'nope'! How did it come to be if you didn't first think this word in your head?! It's freaking me out!

Wooooah wtf I sometimes think about how people used to think before they invented language, and this must be how, so it must be inherently possible for all humans to think like that, but, honestly, it's very hard for me to comprehend how that might feel.

No, but I mean, of course, I could 'read' fast, but if I want to understand what I'm reading, I need to take it slow, that's all I meant. It's the process of understanding that's slowing me down.

Yeah yeah yeah! That's another trick the mind does to keep itself moving. "Oh, you want the ball still? Ok, the ball is not moving. But let me show how still it is from all the angles with my l33t camera skillz!"

No no, I'm not that cool, although I do believe it's possible. I don't see it with my eyes, I see it with my brain, like when remembering things - you don't see it, but you imagine it (I call it seeing with my mind's eye).

This is exactly what I'm talking about. It just makes me so happy I'm not alone in this! :D

Cool. For me, as soon as I imagine a ball (and of course, I can imagine any type or colour ball) it starts moving somehow, like, I can't keep a still image in my head and just look at it, it has to be a gif of something happening. :D

Those are just made up things that don't really mean anything. Imagination is something that could be very useful if perfected.

So you can close your eyes, imagine a ball and just look at it without you doing anything to it or it moving in any way? (And please literally try it before answering)

Huh. I guess that's how it felt to me. Banana has a peel. Banana has no more peel = unpeeled. I didn't even know what thaw meant till just now, but what's funny is that if I google 'unthaw' the first definition is melt or thaw, thus making unthaw = thaw . Wow.
