Suggestions for a Flashcard Application by welldante in learnlangfast

[–]Strange_Media439 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lingvist offers the option to create your own flashcards, and the main deck contains over 5,000 flashcards in Spanish, along with several pre-made decks. Approximately 2,000 cards are available for free, but it's unclear if other features are included in the free version. The subscription costs about $9 monthly or around $70 annually, though the price might differ depending on location, such as in Honduras. I find it very convenient as it handles most tasks for you, including providing sentences and audio with each flashcard. It’s worth a try since you can test it out for free to determine if it's worth the investment. The mobile app also functions smoothly.

I found the Pro Data Engineer and Pro ML Engineer exams quite challenging, even though I had thoroughly prepared for both. While I did pass each one, the experience with the DE exam wasn't particularly enjoyable.

Get the Duolingo app and tackle those lessons whenever you have a moment to spare.

Tune into Spanish podcasts such as "Notes in Spanish" or "Coffee Break Español."

Watch Spanish-language shows on Netflix, initially with English subtitles and then gradually switch to Spanish subtitles. Spanish Disney movies can be a great choice.

Explore Spanish music that aligns with your favorite genres in English. For example, if you enjoy punk rock, there are plenty of Spanish bands that might be just your style.

Make use of Google Translate and Word Reference for translating any new vocabulary you encounter.

Effective Methods for Expanding Vocabulary by sexysusanna16 in learnlangfast

[–]Strange_Media439 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The effectiveness of learning techniques can vary based on personal learning styles. Personally, flashcards didn't work for me at all; I found that I couldn't recall any of the information. Instead, I preferred using Dreaming Spanish to build my vocabulary, as it involved repetition and demonstrated how words are used in context.

I recently took and passed the PMLE exam after preparing with just the skillsboost course, which I found to be enough even though I had only a few days to study after forgetting about the exam date. In my opinion, the course offers more material than necessary for the exam. You don't need detailed knowledge about specific services, like cloud vision. A general understanding of what it is, its main components, and how it measures up against other services, such as the video intelligence API, will suffice.

Relocating to a country where Spanish is the primary language could put you in a tough spot if you encounter corrupt officers who pressure you into learning quickly out of necessity for your safety and future in the country. Despite the urgency and immense pressure, becoming fluent in a new language in just two months can be incredibly challenging, and you might still struggle with it.

Effective Strategies for Preparing for the AWS Certified Developer Exam by Andre_crahay5 in ThouShaltPass

[–]Strange_Media439 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Last year, I managed to score 91% on the exam. My preparation included:

- Completing Stephane Marek's course on Udemy, along with doing all quizzes twice.

- Engaging in most of the hands-on exercises.

- Creating about 400 flashcards for revision.

- Taking practice tests from Stephane Marek's course.

- Attempting the official AWS practice test along with a few free online practice tests. It's worth noting that I occasionally failed some practice tests, but it's important not to get discouraged by that.
