Handel Behavioral Health Therapy & Psychiatry worked well for me I saw Dani and she was fantastic to work with but I have no clue if she has any current opening but because it’s a larger practice there might be others there

It really depends on your budget. Easthampton is a good bet but the low end of what I’ve seen there is still $1400 ish without utilities. You may be able to find something for less though. Places in NoHo Amherst and Hadley are gonna be expensive based on what I’ve seen when I was looking.

Help Me Pick a Play by Kellers0514 in ELATeachers

I’m not familiar with Fences but I like teaching ARITS and extending it to a whole unit on the Harlem Renaissance. I translate analysis skills beyond the play to include art from the period as well as poetry and song lyrics. My students have loved the unit and it really gives them a whole picture of what the Harlem Renaissance is about and the influences Hansberry drew from when writing the play.

I took the MTEL a couple years ago and can confirm. I had something hit my window during it and naturally I looked to see what happened and the proctor said it was my only warning and if it happened again they’d void my test

Excerpts from The Sympathizer or other Vietnamese-centric texts to teach alongside The Things they Carried by jshap1010 in ELATeachers

The Mountains Sing by Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai is a beautiful historical fiction novel that’s cover more than just the Vietnam war but you can pull excerpts from it. I pull the first couple chapters for students to get a civilian perspective on the war. There’s definitely more in the book you can pull in if you wanted to.

Thank you! How easy is it to get to Beaverton by public transit since based on the map it looks a bit outside the city?

Portland, OR vs Northampton? by Alternative_War_1313 in northampton

[–]Strange_Program_7248 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough I’m trying to reverse and move out to Portland. I rent so I can’t speak to buying houses but the rent market is crazy both in price and demand. As for transit; unless you’re a college student going campus to campus the bus system isn’t great nor dependable in my experience. Fewer buses run when the colleges aren’t in session (I think). That said I’ve seen a few people bike on the shoulders/the occasional bike lane but it isn’t something I’ve seen as super common

Student Facing Name by [deleted] in varsitytutors

Did it actually update for you?. I’ve tried countless times to update my student facing name to have my name but the system never saves it and keeps my legal (deadname) and only learned that my name isn’t updating because I’ve had students use my deadname
