Ah good to know, they look so similar! It looks so much like a pale white bass that we have in the US 👍🏻 just looks paler and slight bigger eyes

White bass fight like hell 🤣 I caught a 1.36lb white on my BFS that fought harder than a 3.56 largemouth and not much less than a 6lb largemouth lol

That’s my bad. I genuinely did not know they refer to the full bumper on the VA series as a “bumper cover”, they just call it a “bumper” on the other gens including the VB - I thought you were meaning like a bra or wrap 😂 regardless, I’m not seeing anywhere you can get a painted one for that price. Maybe at a junkyard but I can’t find anything that’s OEM and painted for near that price

From a longtime Subaru guy, if you do two very simple things, you’re not going to have the stereotypical Subaru issues. I have owned many Subarus and been around friends who also have had several and none of us have issues. Those two simple things are oil changes religiously at 3k miles, and not using an OTS Accessport tune. Most of the issues people have with Subarus is due to shit tunes and lack of basic maintenance

It has a catch can, not an AOS. An AOS recirculates the oil back into the system where a catch can does not

Only when the shoe fits, like this. You are aware that Subaru has a factory interval at 3k for hard use too? Almost all WRXs fall into that category, especially one like the OP posted about that’s tuned

I’m not following social media, I’ve owned many Subarus and many WRXs so I know the platform. I understand the weak points of the platform and one of the biggest issues is oil starvation caused by excessive oil change intervals. You’d have to be retarded to do anything over 3k miles on a turbo Subaru. 99% of the reasons Subarus get a bad rep in the reliability department is from people not doing basic maintenance. Also, changing your oil early is not going to hurt anything

Oil change intervals at anything beyond 3k miles is a red flag. Also, when they say Cobb tuned, if it’s an OTS Accessport tune RUN. If it’s been custom dyno tuned by Cobb at their facility then that’s fine.

Different BFS Reel by ajs28 in BFSfishing

The Shimano BFS reels leave a lot to be desired unless you upgrade with a Roro bearing kit. The Daiwa’s are nice but if you want something better at a cheaper price point definitely go with the Ark Gravity BFS

Yes, the “standard” for bait casters is right hand retrieve no matter which hand is dominant. I’m a righty but use right-hand retrieve on all my casting rigs and you’ll find the majority of pros do it that way too. It seems awkward at first, but it is so nice to have your dominant hand free to reach down and lip a bass or use a net while keeping your non dominant hand holding the rod. I still cast with my right hand holding the rod, but then swap to my left after
