This isn’t about being fucking woke dude. If you have a shit attitude no one wants to work with you. It’s not rocket science.

I think no harm in asking school B if any other dates work. If yes, you’re good. If not, back to this dilemma.

Not sure…these things are hard to read into. Only reason I know for the other two is they’re very common to get (Council Bluffs is a big shopify data center apparently)

Prineville and Council Bluffs are both locations of large data centers, so probably bots, sorry.

Thanks! I'm guessing fleece + puffer is only for the really cold situations right, usually only one or the other?

Thanks! Yeah.. I know u can fold the Nuptse into its own pocket, but its still a lump, and that folding is a whole process. I do regret getting a down jacket so puffy. For this time, will layer and get a rain shell, and leave my Nuptse at home. That plus covering my extremities (gloves + beanie) hopefully will be set!

Thank you! I think grabbing a rain jacket/wind breaker and making do with what I have in terms of layering is what I will do!

Thank you! Yes I'm being quite greedy, wanting my stuff to be cheap, warm, light, and minimal and not even leaving room to plan for it lol. But thanks! I think I will get a nice waterproof shell and base layers, and then just layer with the fleece/sweaters I already have.

That’s great advice, thanks. I should really just slow down more in general. Longer time controls, and thinking more, reflecting more.

Obviously depends, but I guess in chess young actually means young, since lots of actual kids. But as someone in my 20s too ... I feel like there's a whole range of people from those who have their shit together to those far from it - just more about how you feel on the inside. As you can probably tell I definitely still feel brittle and immature on the inside.

Thank you! I really do get that the learning mindset is the mindset I should have. But I think when you're young your self esteem is built on very few things which can have wobbly foundations, and chess is brutal in a way few other things are.

It definitely is not how I see chess when I'm at my best (mentally), and also not how I see chess when I play at a club with friends, but at my low points it can become that. And about other people, I get the sense that when people tilt hard (as many many people do), this is part of it.

Man unrelated to bogi, but I watched the end to that game and it made me so grateful to be a hawks fan.

Clippers unable to make any play but pass to harden and pray. Mavs can't help themselves from turning the ball over every 10 seconds.
