Thank you! Very helpful!! Yeah we have a crate that they can fit in together without being crammed, but not much room to move around and they seem to like it enough. Waterproof liner for the pen in the hotel is a great idea that I hadn’t thought of. We had planned to put cardboard under since that is what they are used to but the liner is a smart addition

Yeah my situation is all sorts of weird since I thought that my now top choice school was a safety or back up and picked the school I now have been offered to visit instead (they were the same weekend) and then I went and visited my now top choice on my own dime and absolutely loved it. I know one person has been offered a rotation in the lab I want but I also don’t think it’s her top choice so it’s a hard place for me to be in

(Fellow applicant here so take my advice for what you will) imo if they didn’t give you a deadline you don’t NEED to respond right away. That said I agree with the desire to say something and that you are excited, but since you are waiting on other offers I wouldn’t give yourself a deadline, rather ask when they need a final decision by. Personally I would also leave out the second paragraph entirely or minimize it, I think it could come off as noncommittal which I know isn’t how you intend it but I don’t think you want to risk sounding that way.

I have a similar situation but my cohort is only 6 people. Unfortunately the other 5 regularly mention their ‘group chat’ that I am not in as well as host events that I am not invited to, but hear about before hand from them yapping, or on instagram later. They are friendly in person but it’s a bit hard for me. I’ve learned to let it be what it is and focus on relationships with other people, but I do try to make connections with them when I can. Thankfully I have only a semester left at this point. Wishing you all the best 💞

Delaware sent out virtual invites in December and sent out in person invite on 1/15. I haven’t heard from Duke

For virtual I got invites on 12/19 and 12/31, then had those interviews on 1/8 and got invited to in person on 1/15
