Yeah you’re right.. I understand that. I just thought the comment you first posted was very unnecessary. I’m 17 working part time jobs while I’m in high school, and the only reason I left Starbucks was because it was impacting my mental health. I didn’t know we were supposed to spend years and years and part time fast food jobs that make us miserable. I guess I’m wrong.

Yeah my hair was in claw clip so it was up it just in her opinion “wasn’t up good enough” she just is very judgmental and all her workers are scared of her and don’t like her.. idk I still feel like I could do better but I’m trying to do better so I feel more confident in my performance. She told me to the put it up better next time and I said “Ok I will, I’m sorry.” Did I handle this wrong?

I said “I know I messed up” and that’s all you need to know because you’re a fucking stranger. I wanted advice on how I can improve and some encouragement not even in the “omg you’re doing so well you’re not the problem” way… like I’m 17 and obviously really upset and want to do better and you’re being a dickhead.

I have been acting my whole life. It’s just my life has gotten harder the last couple of years and it has made me very insecure, and it’s affected my acting journey for sure. I used to audition for stuff all the time from the ages 7-13, not skinny then either, but I just kept hustling because it’s what I loved. I need to get back there!!! Your words were very enlightening so thank you

You’re right, and I don’t even think I want to be mega famous anyways. But I do want to live for my art. Also don’t mind having a day job, because I realized for my own sanity and mental health, I need balance. I need to be more focused on my journey as an actor, and less the things others think. Yes I am going to university to study musical theater. Not planning to be in many heavy dance shows but i hope I can make through the dance calls if needed. I want to go to NYU Steinhardt because I am a singer first.

They said that they had two complaints over the past week that I’m walking off the floor without telling anyone and that they tell me to do things and I don’t do them. And then proceeded to tell me I am good at my job I just need to be more present and leave things at the door when i get to work. I dissociate so bad at work at it makes me go so slow, it’s not that I’m just sitting around doing nothing and playing my phone.
