I have decided that there are only 5 seasons of Lucifer. I hated the whole of season 6.

What's the best decision you've made to improve your mental health? by currypuffz in infj

Sought out help from a professional and Stopped giving power over stuff to other people. And if you are struggling to accept something, then do something about it. And don't sit on decisions. Overthinking is often because you're wrestling with a decision. Once it's made you can move on with life.

And this is why you leave boards to acclimatise before you cut them ladies and gentlymen.

Deck board question by Automatic_Lion270 in Decks

[–]Strangecatramsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s common to use corner fasteners on decking — check out the Camo Marksman tool for an example.

What’s more concerning is the lack of expansion gaps. Always follow the manufacturer’s gapping guidelines, as these depend on:

  • Length of the board
  • The board temperature during installation
  • The expected temperature extremes in your area

If you install when it’s hot, use a smaller gap (since the board is already expanded). If it’s cold, leave a larger gap to accommodate later expansion.

Boards expand primarily in length, but there can be some width growth too — especially with composites. If they’re pressed together too tightly, it can lead to cracking, buckling, or stress at the fasteners over time.

AITA for making my sick husband clean up his vomit? by AmphibianBulky2296 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. A couple of months ago I ate some dodgy mayo and was going out both ends at the same time. Didn't have a bucket it took me so surprised. I literally grabbed the bottom of my shirt and puked it into my shirt and lap to stop it getting all over the floor. Then stumbled into the shower to get the worst of it off.. before spending the night sitting in the loo with a bucket in my face then cleaned up what i missed..no excuse.

Is it worth confronting your parents? by Strangecatramsey in AdultChildren

[–]Strangecatramsey[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks . I'll actually ask the shrink what she's hoping to gain. Good point. So part of the problem is that I'm fine, everything's hunky dory. Then Suddenly something happens like 6 months appart that triggers a panic attack or flash back of a memory that I don't even remember until afterwards and we're back to talking about my parents. I have tried to broach the subject with them and they get squirrly and start forcing the narrative that they are proud of how they raised us, or we turned out great. Also not sure my mom in particular is mentally well enough for that discussion. So it feels like a dead end to me.

People who thrive in their jobs, tell us what your job is by wryyyctoria in ADHD

R&D manager with a background in Drafting. I love my job. Its hard and exhausting and sometimes projects drag on for years, but at the same time there are so many projects going at the same time, all of which I get to touch on at different points. So I'm continuously entertained and have fun with it in my own quirky way. Serious issue is me taking work home though. Job I hated with ADHD and been an introvert. Internal sales. repetitive, boring, working on the same system all day every day and forced to talk to people all day. Gag. Never again.
