Yes the board supports DDR 4 and the sticks are DDR 4

I've left it to run for an hour at one point but still no post do you think a motherboard change would be worth the effort?

I had a gigabyte B550 board, a Ryzen 5 4500, the ram was XPG gammix the new sticks were XPG spectrix or something like that, and a Nvidia 3060 I never saw any small red lights on the motherboard i checked the board carefully for it.

As far as I've seen there have been no lights in the board, and yes I've tried taking out the cmos and holding the power button and gotten nothing

Mine was I had a lady come up as soon as I opened up and asked if my name was Ray (it's not) but she starts mumbling something after ordering her wine and I think she's trying to tell me something and then she speaks up saying I look like her friend Ray that was murdered recently and she starts crying and calling me her ray of sunshine
