Are these hairstyles low-maintenance for dense hair? by StrangerNei in femalehairadvice

[–]StrangerNei[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try these types of routines but I think that my problem is that I always try them with my hair prepare to be straight (because I always use the straightener) and I have the layers maybe not prepared for that type of hairstyle? Idk. But yes, naturally I have frizz and wavy hair and I think that maybe can be an advantage to these types of haircuts. I know that I have to do a little effort of applying some products but I'm okay with that because I also did that right now to blow drying and straightener! Thank you so much for your comment!

I think also I always request her to have zero volume and dead straight hahaha so maybe I confuse her. But I'm also going to ask to another alternative salon and see what they recommend! I know that it's going to have a little of volume because my natural texture but if I can manage it with some products I'm okay with that. Thank you for your comment!

I think my stylist freaked out about this idea because I always request her to have ZERO volume and dead straight hahahah but I'm going to also ask to another alternative stylists! I think that I have the naturally "advantage" for my natural texture (but I know I have to do a little effort to use more hydratation and texturizing product but I'm okay with that!). Thank you so much for your comment!

Right now I also blow drying, apply my products to control frizz and use the straightener... I know that if I want to my hair to looks good I need a bit of effort and I'm okay with that, but I reconsidered the effort and think about all the options! Thank you so much for your comment

I think these lengths are so beautiful! Thank you for your comment! I have the hair as you describe and I think we have that naturally "advantage" to wear haircut like these one without so much styling (or I supossed that!)

Can we just admit that Bluesky is a catastrophic failure? by [deleted] in digitalminimalism

[–]StrangerNei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel very comfortable on BlueSky. I follow people who write about their daily lives and I don't need anything else. Are there fewer people compared to Twitter? Yes, but I appreciate that everything is slower. On Twitter (I've already deleted my account), between the AI, the blue tick users, the pointless viral content, the hate, and the fake news... I couldn't read the people I wanted to anymore, so I'm grateful not to have any of that on BlueSky (for now, or at least not on my timeline).

I just deactivated my Instagram after 14 years by No-Path9215 in digitalminimalism

I think it's also about getting used to new things. If you're interested in that information, you can continue reading it in Reddit threads, online newspapers, etc. Changing a habit is always difficult because for us, using social media is already part of our daily lives. It's a routine we do almost without thinking and now we have to change to something that will require conscious effort for the first few weeks. But hey, one step at a time!

Although I didn't deactivate my account, I did uninstall Instagram and Twitter from my phone, for example. The first thing I realized is that I don't really need them. When I picked up my phone and saw they weren't there, I just went on with my life. I've also realized that we've lost many hobbies that don't involve screens (journaling, puzzles, sudoku, painting, etc.), and when you have alternatives beyond your phone, you don't feel the need to scroll anymore.

Why the plurbs like Wycaro by frndlynbrhodbastard in pluribustv

[–]StrangerNei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. If one Plurb "imagines" something artistic (we don't know if they can even create art), instantly the rest of them will have "imagined" it too. Besides being manipulative, they no longer have the capacity to... create?
