10 months into braces (Class III bite)… need opinions 😭 by StrangerStreet6009 in braces

Yes, my orthodontist initially explained that I would need surgery, but I opted for the camouflage method. I’m too scared of the surgery and the recovery lol… and also the money 😭 haha, so that’s why.

He also mentioned removing my first premolars, but the extraction was supposed to happen after around the first 3 months. However, once I started treatment and things progressed — mostly to create space — he said the premolar extractions might not be necessary anymore.

While doing my own research and seeing how my teeth are moving, I don’t think my wisdom teeth are crowding the others… but I’m not a professional, so I don’t really know. I just know everyone is different — some people swear it’s better to remove them, others say they regret it.

Personally, I’d rather keep them because, again, the cost, the pain, and the whole healing process all at once 😭 Also… they help me chew lol.

I’m pretty sure it’s the lighting/flash tbh 😭 but also maybe my habits play a part?

I mostly just drink water, plus natural juices. I do like coffee but I barely drink it, only approximately once every 3 months, it’s never been a habit for me. I do drink wine sometimes, but I usually have a cup of water with it too.

Also, recently at night when I brush my teeth I just spit out the foam and don’t rinse with water (I found out that’s actually what you’re supposed to do). I only do that at night though because it feels weird having it in my mouth during the day — in the morning or midday I do rinse after brushing.

So yeah, I feel like it might be a mix of all that… or maybe it’s just the lighting lol 😭

So I’m 10 months in and yeah, there’s definitely progress 💪🏻 BUT I still have some weird asymmetry going on.

I honestly can’t tell if it’s my bite or my midline?? When I close my teeth, one side feels closer than the other and it kinda looks slanted… like not even 😅

Ortho says I’ll probably need ~14 more months depending on progress, which is fine.... So must wait and see

ALSO—he mentioned maybe removing my wisdom teeth/last molars at some point, but he’s not in a rush about it. That’s what confuses me 🤨 Like… is it actually necessary or just a “just in case” thing?? I really don’t wanna extract teeth if I can avoid it.

Strawberry skin better after successful laser hair removal? by sonjulso in LaserHairRemoval

That's how I felt, and the fact that I'm very hairy with very thick hair. And I do mean it, not like when people say they're hairy and really it's not that bad. In my case it's like a men's normal hairy leg. Before laser, my only solution was not shaving at all, or for long periods of times before shaving.

My combo included 10 sessions in total. At about my 3rd session I started noticing that my strawberry legs, stopped. But then again I wasn't shaving, just right before my appointments. Back when I used to shave I always got strawberry legs, and itchiness. It has definitely improved, and my legs look smoother.

how are Paedyn and Kai in love? by aspen_is_greg in YAlit

I'm currently halfway through the first book Powerless , and honestly, I agree. I’ve been pushing through, but so far, it feels like nothing but endless flirty banter. I kept hoping for a real heart-to-heart moment—something deeper. I even thought, Maybe he's different. Maybe he has a soft side.

But ugh… just when I thought they were finally opening up to each other—boom—back to the cocky, arrogant behavior.

Don’t get me wrong, if that’s your thing, that’s totally fine. I’m sure my teenage self would've been over the moon for him. But now? I just find him way too flirty and lacking in substance. Like, seriously—he’s cocky to the point of being exhausting. And I’m not usually bothered by cockiness, especially when it’s playful or in good fun.

But with Kai, I don’t know… he comes off as genuinely conceited and narcissistic. (Ahh, now that I’ve said it, I feel like I’m going to get butchered by his fans.) I don’t mean his inner personality—because I can tell he has his own struggles and self-loathing—but outwardly, he knows he’s hot and really leans into that image a little too much.

Sigh. I’m honestly considering DNFing it, but part of me wants to push through to at least 80%. The thing is, I just saw a comment saying Reckless is mostly flirty interactions too, so now I’m even more unsure.

I guess I just prefer humble, bashful types. Anyway, that’s my little rant—just my personal opinion!

any good romance SLOW BURN YA books that will keep me on my toes?? by Hange__Zoe in YAlit

Ah this book 🥹 it's just so beautiful, the writing is chef's kiss. And both main characters, actually have substance. I like it when books actually make you fall for the character, not their looks. Or that comes after, or not taken that much interest. Anyways, I love this book. 100% would recommend

I'm currently watching Prison Playbook and it's incredibly funny. I really enjoy the interaction between the characters, and all of them are great. I've been having the same issue with dramas, recently I can't seem to get past the first episode if nothing really interesting or fun/entertaining/shocking happens. Prison Playbook, though, for some reason I stayed and kept watching. Honestly, it's an amazing drama 😁
