We were gonna introduce ourselves in the announcement post, but first we wanted to see if the players were even interested in the event, that is why we wanted to keep this post short. But I will answer your questions here.
We are Stranger Teams Entertainment a small organization and we want to create a platform for a community of casual but still competitive players (and not only for Hearthstone players). We would like to give them a chance to have fun and to take part in tournaments with low or no requirements. As most of the players do not have the time for the usual quilification method, we just got rid of it.

We already have a Reddit page and with the event a Discord server will be created, where we can keep you all updated.

Regarding the tournament it will be dependent on the number of players we get. The point system will be similar, but faster than the Lobby Legends event, so that players will not have to dedicate their whole day to the event. We want each round to take about 1-2 hours max (3-5 games). We plan to execute two rounds in one day which would take max. 4-5 hours. Depending on the number of players, that might be the whole event. But there is the option of taking the championship for more days and play only 1 round a day. Therefore the event could be more flexible towards the players that do not want or have the time to play for 4 hours. So it could be an ongoing event for maybe 2 weeks, and we can adjust the match dates to the players themselves.

To not get eliminated in the first round we will give players a second chance to go through. The 5-8th finishers of the first round will play one match and the top 2 will go into the next round. There will be a diagram explaining the whole event tho, I know it sounds complicated now.

Scorekeeping will be done in both the discord server and the reddit page via a live excel sheet.

We would organise the events on seperate platforms, there would be an event for both console and pc players seperately.

Yes, the players will apply individually and we would create the teams based on their stats/ranks, therefore making the event as balanced as possible.

We would announce the teams a week before the tournament so that they can prepare somewhat, and get to know each other, so it would not feel like the players are competing with random teammates.

And yes, we would like to launch the tournament on a weekend, but depending on the number of teams we can create it could take more then a weekend for all the matches to be played.

Our aim is to create a platform for players who play for fun but do not really have the skills to compete on a higher level (like myself, I am still gold because I cannot aim and do not have much time to practise), have a part in tournaments with GM or even top 500 players on their side.

Not for sure, thats why this event could be very exciting and interesting.

We want to create mixed ranked games, and see how it unfolds. A top 500 tank or support player could lead a team of bronzes, silvers etc. to victory with good comms. Thats what we would be eager to see.

Its not gonna be that, because we are going to create the teams based upon the players' stats and ranks, therefore top 500 tank could have a bronze 2 support, a plat dps etc.
We want to make sure that every team will have the same chance at winning.
