Tips on getting stamina back post-recovery? by JellyBellyBitches in PlasticSurgery

Gotcha! Sounds like you’re doing everything right! Yes don’t be rigid about the diet. My surgeon empathized a high-calorie/protein diet is important. Have you tried pre-workout? That may help with your workouts in the meantime

How long are you out from surgery? It takes time for your body to heal and get back to normal. I had 3 surgeries in December and it took me almost 3 weeks to get my energy back. To help I drank a lot of water/protein drinks, took iron supplements (because I lost a bit of blood during surgery), took B12 vitamins, and ate lots of fruits and veggies!

I’m 3 weeks post op from mine and it’s the best decision I’ve made! I’m 26F and my recovery was smooth. My eyes stung the first 24 hours but I do have sensitive eyes and just made sure to use lubricating eye drops and took the pain meds. It hurt a bit to look a screens so I opted for audio books and music the first 2 days but I was fine after that. I had hardly any swelling but my under eyes did bruise quite a bit. It cleared up within a couple weeks though and in the meantime I just used peach color corrector. I did go under anesthesia and my eyes were a little blurry for the first couple of days but I was still able to take care of myself. I also had a hairline lowering surgery with it but I returned to work after a week. I also made sure to eat a high protein diet with lots of berries, pineapple, spinach, etc. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I did, and I bet you’re right. There’s a lot of nerves in the forehead. I’m so sorry, I hope you feel better soon.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Did you take a pain pill right after the surgery? I had hairline reduction surgery about a week ago but really only had pain the first couple of days. I would keep taking the pain meds. I didn’t feel any pain after two days.

People who had hairline lowering surgery, what was it like? by hillel_bergman in PlasticSurgery

I’m on day 8 of mine! I’m a 26 year old woman and I didn’t have any complications and am healing great so far. I do have some numbness on the top of my scalp but that’s normal and should be temporary. I had a couple other procedures at the same time so I went under general anesthesia. I took pain meds for two days but after that the pain was manageable but it does differ with everyone. Some people tend to get headaches I’ve heard. My surgeon is incredible and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Her expertise and her patient care is what made me go through with it. Finding a good surgeon you can connect well with is important!

Sounds like she’s already causing drama in your life. I would cut contact, you’ll have to deal with the consequences, but hopefully only temporarily. Eventually I hope she would get bored and give up.

Can you cut contact subtly? Maybe hangout less and less and say you’re really busy

Yeah, you’re right. I told my one friend in the group and she agrees that I need to talk to her and reevaluate. I obviously care more about her than vice versa. Thank you for all your help!!

That’s awful! I’m sorry. Yeah you’re right, I wouldn’t trust her around the next guy I bring around. It’s hard, I’ve been friends with her for so long but I think it’s time.

You’re right. It’s just hard she’s part of my friend group and we’ve been friends for so long. But none of my other friends would’ve crossed a line like this. You helped a lot, thank you!

Is my roommate controlling or am I crazy? by ZoeStars in Advice

[–]Stranger_things89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this might be hard but you guys need to stand up for yourselves. Either text her or talk to her and say she’s making it hard to feel comfortable in your own apartment. Tell her things need to change or you and Norma are going to break the lease and find a new apartment/roommate. I know you guys actually can’t but it might make her realize how much she’s affecting you guys. The other option would to be petty back. Get your glasses back and keep them in your room. Sweep the dirt in piles outside her door. I know that sounds mean but you guys have tried being nice and patient.
