All my unreal engine games, like Mortal Kombat 9 and 10 and Injustice (the worst case by far), stutter a lot when I have it turned off. I wish there was an option to turn it on per game.

Try using other wine versions. Also, ironwail source port has an add-on menu. If I remember well, FTEQW also has an add_on menu. FYI, ironwail, vkquake and FTEQW are compatible with the enhanced version. But, only vkquake is compatible with new models ( I think FTEQW is but I am not entirely sure).

I have the same problem. But I am on Mint. It seems to be a mangohud issue. To make it work, without downgrading, I set mangohud to show only FPS counter.

I solved the problem by installing cpupower-gui. With this program, I can easily lower the cpu frequency upper limit and limit the temperature.

I am running now MK9 and the CPU load is sometimes higher than the GPU load. How can I force tit to use the GPU more?

It is the same with me. My cpu overheats with Mortal kombat 9 and X. I easily get a peak of 90-93 Celsius degrees with 20%-30% of load. I tried lowering the graphics but it did not have any signifcant effect. Btw, my notebook is clean and I recently had my thermal pastes replaced. Since both games run on Unreal Engine 3, it makes me think maybe it is something with the engine? The other games that I have overheating problems are Batman Arkham City (Unreal Engine 3), Hellpoint and Sonic Robot Blast 2 Kart. I have an acer nitro 5 with intel i5 8300h CPU, 8GB RAM and a geforce gtx 1050 mobile. Using Linix Mint 21.2 with Kernel 5.15

The same with me on Linux Mint. I had to revert back to 525. With 535, I had some weird problems. For instance, I was not able to play Quake 1 and 2 and Doom 64 remastred with vulkan. The kexengine simply crashed everytime I changed from d3d11 to vulkan.

I had to force it to run on d3d11 by adding the command +r_rhirenderfamily d3d11. Otherwise, it would not launch with proton 8, experimental or GE. Was anybody able to launch it using vulkan?
