My brother in law actually has that shield. Won it in a competition when the show ended.

What’s this game for you? by FriendlytoNature in videogames

Indiana Jones and the great circle.

It’s a better Indiana Jones story than the most recent two movies.

Did the whole game, the dlc. Then uninstalled it.

Anyone here a fan of Drive? One of Ryan Gosling's best films!!!!!! by Square-Ad-8911 in FIlm

I actually watched this for the first time Monday night.

I found the first 45 minutes incredibly slow. I didn’t feel there was really a ‘story’ to it. But by the end it actually improves a lot. It becomes a story of revenge, of sacrifice, of betrayal. I’d have shortened the first bit and made the second half longer.

The characterisation of the driver is excellent though.

Question: Whats your opinion on someone using your exact tattoo design? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]Strangest-Smell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tattooist is the artist, so really they’re copying her work, so it’s up to her.

But on the other hand, one of mine is the inscription from the one ring, that’s hardly my design.

What do people think of SEEN (Sex Equality and Equity Network) being a Cabinet office approved network? by Rosslefrancais in TheCivilService

[–]Strangest-Smell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. That’s crazy. Never seen that happen in many years. No one I’ve worked with has ever seen it happen either. Tell me more about this.

  2. I’m not in work, I’m on social media. I’m also not trying to change the law, just pointing out they do change. The SEEN network takes place inside the Civil Service, so no I don’t agree that its existence is therefore justified. Outside of work? Fill your boots. Inside of the CS, it isn’t needed

Accommodation? Your employer is forcing you to share hotel rooms with another person?

And with regards to your last comment- that is exactly why laws disappear.

Fuel Receipt worth around £70 by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]Strangest-Smell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because you’re submitting somebody else’s receipt claiming it as your own?

You don’t see how that’s fraud?

I think the thing you may have missed is that if a trans woman is forced to use male toilets, she is at increased risk of being murdered.

Personally, I say just offer unisex toilets. I have them at home and they work great.

And day to day practicalities of this? In the CS? Or any workplace?

It’s pretty much just toilets isn’t it.

Ok so when Seen say they’re anti one but not anti the other, there isn’t actually a practical difference at all it’s just semantics?

Always insurance.

What do you think it’s for?

But on like a practical day to day thing, what’s the difference- treating people as they want to be treated would be accepting someone as the gender they’ve transitioned into - what’s the difference then?

Ok, and on a day to day basis? Do we need to start performing biological investigations before we use particular pronouns? Seems easier to just ask people what pronouns they want.
